Hi there poker fans. We have been talking a lot lately about PokerRoom.com's Mobile Poker Game, and we been giving everyone a chance to win a great new Nokia N82 in the Moblife Weekly Qualifiers. We also thought a great way to really show the super features of Mobile Poker would be to take it on the road to some of Team PokerRoom.com's live events.
The first stop road testing the new client was the beautiful city of Melbourne, Australia for the
PokerNews Cup 2008. As a former resident of Melbourne, I knew there was no better way to experience
the city than by taking a long walk through the city streets on a nice sunny day. So with mobile in
hand and a freshly deposited $50 in my account I hit the streets ready to give the Mobile Poker
Game a thorough workout.
Melbourne - Great city for an afternoon walk!
The first thing that struck me about the Mobile Game was how quickly you can be sitting down at a table with the Quickseat Function. I got off the train at the historic Flinders St station and by the time I crossed the road to Federation Square I was sitting down with $10 at a 10 handed $0.15/$0.30 table. The table graphics were also a standout, with all the PokerRoom.com avatars, full table view and easy table navigation.

My Mobile Poker experience started well when I posted BB and was dealt KJs straight off. In MP and
facing only two limpers I raised it up to 3x BB and found callers from SB and BB. The flop came 8T2
and with action checked to me I bet out the pot and was just got the one caller. I then paired my K
on the turn and my opponent played right into me by betting $2, I re-raised all-in and took down a
nice pot first up when my opponent folded.
With the sun shining and my confidence high I walked down from Federation Square along the Yarra
River before finding a nice patch of grass to have a little sit down in the sun. I kept playing at
the $0.15/$0.30 for about 30 minutes and managed to sit out from the table with a nice little profit of $20.50.

I continued walking around Melbourne for a few hours, playing some cash games and I must say that I was incredibly impressed with how easy the Mobile Poker Game were to use, and how convenient it was to play. It is pretty amazing to just be able to play online poker for real money at such convenience, no laptop, no desk, just me and the wonderful city of Melbourne.
If you want your chance to take a walk around Melbourne and test out the Mobile Poker experience
for yourself, why not try and qualify for the
2009 Aussie Millions on PokerRoom.com. Qualifiers are running
