I'm trying to find out whether I'm up against one of the 4 hands that have me crushed or if he has AK and will dump it. When he calls, I'm starting to think he also has AQ and that we may just end up checking this thing down.
TURN [board cards JC,JS,QS,2D ] Pallebahtep bets $22.25 and is all-in, geiststaat...
Pot is huge ($51), but I'm not feeling to good. Feels like AA or KK to me. Your play.
I would raise with AQ preflop but I would not reraise with it. I'm not comfortable with JJ out there. He's not afraid of you holding a Q or he wouldn't have called your reaise on the flop, possible hands AKspades(but shouldn't have called your reraise) AJ not likely to have reraised preflop. AQ again not a preflop reraising hand nor would I be willing to reraise with that flop. JJ not very likely if he's got it then thats poker. AA or KK very possible but I would be worried you had a J or QQ to crush me with and wouldn't risk evertything.
From his perspective, after you reraised him on the flop he's got to think you have at least a Q. And given that, he apparently still thinks he's got you beat. It doesn't seem to me like he's trying to bet you out of this one - seems like he expects a call. Very tough decision but I think you're behind.
i find that usually when people have trips like this and your doing all the betting, thn maybe he would check to you for you to bet on the turn. If he has trips and pushes, you might fold and he might not win as much
OK, that makes sense, Pockett, for the trips, but why call and push with KK or AA?
I folded here. Someone else asked if I had AA or KK and I said I had the AQ. This guy says nice laydown I had KK. I never believe poker players, though, and certainly not at the table.
Maybe it was a panic bet. You might have seen how a player has a good hand, sometimes might get a little scared and just push.
Ive seen people make a panic bet when they have KK and an A comes on the flop. They dont know what to do so they just go all in. Lol, i used to do it when i was starting out
