HU with a mid-pair

Oct 15, 2006 11:22 PM. Post 1
While I'm still legally able to post...

$10+$1 (real money)

Seat 3: KimJ23 ($1,970 in chips)
Seat 7: spaceboy761 [9D,7D] ($1,030 in chips)

ANTES/BLINDS
KimJ23 posts blind ($10), spaceboy761 posts blind ($20).

PRE-FLOP
KimJ23 calls $10, spaceboy761 checks.

FLOP [board cards 9S,4D,AD ]
spaceboy761 bets $40, KimJ23 bets $150, spaceboy761 ???

Well, that value bet just got a little more interesting. What should be do?

i hate these decisions.

i come across them all the time and i just dont know. Im leaning towards a fold. May not have an ace, could have a 9 with a better kicker. Raise with a flush draw?

This could be a good slow play preflop with an A, but I think it's a steal attempt. Usually the A will raise. I come back over the top. If I want to send a message then I push, otherwise just something like 450...well, check that, you'll be pot committed. I push.
