PRE-FLOP
mecano25 folds, lewda18 folds, spaceboy761 bets $100, way2cute410 folds, Abe_Linkin folds, faye9127 folds, aaronbucknel calls $75, Blatz_Man calls $50.

Very common spot here holding a low pair and no one representing anything. How do we usually play this?

In limit, I always bet. Hard to think that anyone has hit that flop plus you don't want to see another heart on the turn giving someone the incentive to stay in with over cards and a heart in their hand.
Though with overcards and an A or K of hearts in my hand I would stay.

I think this is NL. But yes, in limit it's a no-brainer bet.

I'd bet half the pot. If called you will probably get checked to on the turn and can take a free card if you wish.

yeah I take a stab at it. Not too scary for u. I dump it if reraised and play cautious if called.

I've changed my mind. I bet full pot here. If called then I'll check it down. I'm bettng full pot because the flush draw is out there, and I don't want someone calling on that draw, which they will do for a half pot bet.

FLOP [board cards 10H,8H,8D ]
aaronbucknel checks, Blatz_Man checks, spaceboy761 bets $300, aaronbucknel folds, Blatz_Man folds.

SHOWDOWN
spaceboy761 wins $600.

SUMMARY
Dealer: faye9127
Pot: $600
faye9127, loses $0
aaronbucknel, loses $100
Blatz_Man, loses $100
mecano25, loses $0
lewda18, loses $0
spaceboy761, bets $400, collects $600, net $200
way2cute410, loses $0
Abe_Linkin, loses $0

I think Geis nailed my thinking. My goal is to push out any draws since the 4's clearly have me ahead and a half-pot bet might not be enough. Also given my stack and the lopsided table, laying down a $300 bet to a reraise here is palatable.

These suck. You don't want to commit too much and you don't want to throw away value. What can we do?

heres my thinking,

A, you have lousy position

B, He could also have a pair

C, He could call on a number of draws, leaving you out of position again on the turn
