Tournament Feedback / Ideas

Mar 13, 2007 07:32 AM. Post 1
Hi everyone,

As you may have seen last week we released the new Loyalty Schedule and we saw that most of you were happy about the changes. You may have also noticed recently that we have a lot more Guaranteed tournaments throughout the days and a different qualifying structure since a while back. Some people like change and some don't, however, everyone likes some free tournament tickets for their wonderful ideas and suggestions happy . Over the coming weeks I will be keeping a close eye on this thread and will be crediting some different value tournament tickets to the accounts of the players who inspire us most with their tournament insight and good ideas for future tournaments.

Think along the lines of loyalty tournaments, freerolls, Pokah tournies, Live Event qualifiers and everything else you can come up with that you dont like, do like or would like to see added/improved. Play around with blind levels, starting stacks, buy ins and all aspects of the tournament structures.

To save you some time and effort I will say that we may or may not offer HORSE and other variations of HORSE tournaments in the future, so ideas concerning HORSE are void for a ticket but still welcome. I will also add that we are the judges and tickets will be credited to well thought about ideas/feedback and not just for coming up with "I think there should be a $1,000,000 Freeroll every hour" because its probably not going to happen happy

If it is a really good idea and we go ahead with the tournament we may even name the tournament after you for a while wink

Have fun!

Best regards,
GamesRep

Ill properly think over some idea and post them later but one idea i posted i think would be good ...

Yous ran the 3k pokah freerolls which were good but ended up filled with people who dont frequent pokah very often and just posted purely for the tickets, the one by special invitation was better!

My idea is a small freeroll each week for the top 10 or so posters in pokah not too big a prize fund to attract spammers but enough to be a worthwhile regular little tourney maybe $250 or so , a lot of the top posters each week would be the same so it would be a nice small field filled with familiar faces each week.

This would cost less than a monthly 3k freeroll and in my opinion be more fun.

Also it would give the forums a much needed breathe of life.

Ill post any other ideas later.

Good yous are taking an interest and the new layout of loyalty tournies is much improved!

few more things....

Also its not really to do with tourneys but there arnt too many incentives for ring players
a royal flush bonus and possibly a bad beat bonus for losing with quads etc would be nice happy

Would also be nice to have a few more small scheduled tourneys featuring 5d 7s etc that arnt
rebuys or turbos , i notice there was a 5+50 omaha added recently and thats great but the
turbos for omaha at smaller buy ins outnumber regular tourneys about 10 to 1. ATM there isnt
even 1 small 7s tourney each day either turbo rebuy or regular and not many 5d i know i would
play a lot of these if they were added.

Sorry if im going on a bit lol .. you asked for ideas happy

The recent inclusion of omaha in the heads up area is great i play a lot of these however
the only buy in offered is $5+50 so some higher buy ins would be great , i know they arnt
that busy but there are quite a few played even though the omaha hu is situated at the very
bottom of the page, some other games for hu would be great 7s 5d etc.

Any addition to the qualifier tourneys of different game types would be good too.

The gurentees in all tournies seem to be more than met so maybe they could be raised a
little which would attract more players and im sure the guarentees would be met anyway.

Thats all i can think of just now ill post anything else i think of.

Well done so far.
The variation where tourneys are concerned is vastly improved.

I enjoyed the Pokah Freerolls and the Usual Suspects so I would like to these become a regular feature.
And putting a bounty on us player mods appears to have been popular, not just for the hunters but also for us mods so I would like to see this become a regular feature.

I would also like to see Omaha8 (Omaha Hi/Lo)added both to the turbo games and the regular tourney list.

I like the qualifier setup here, and it's one of the big reasons I prefer PokerRoom. So:

Suggestion #1 -- a 50c feeder to the $3.40 feeder. Scoop up all that chump change!

Suggestion #2 -- something gentler for the qualifier to $10 tickets -- the ratio of buyin to payout is so steep that these are pretty much a crapshoot. Maybe a higher buy-in, maybe just making them regular time intervals rather than turbo.

Suggestion #3 -- as an alternative to turbo, use antes to get the action moving.

Suggestion #4 -- Pot-limit stud tourneys.
