on the cash tables most other sites have less than 25c tables which still seem popular and still see some good pots developing

and completely off the wall perhaps, but something to include the u.s. players without who this site wouldn't be here and will be back here in their numbers if that stupid law is changed - i've noticed on one of the biggest sites, they have regular play money MTTs for quite high amounts of playdoh buy in which are very competitive. i don't play 'em but i might here because it's the only way we could compete against the americans here and i'm sure there would be enough volunteers to keep score on here one way or another

if these comps are filling up you have probably set the player limit too low and if the u.s. players wouldn't mind this it's not a big ask considering the rake they've paid before and the money they probably have accumulated in amounts too low to withdraw or frozen in netteller or whatever that someone is earning interest off

the best guide to success of any of these ideas will be popularity and participation

I still think that most of the tournaments out there (especially SnGs) are way too fast and doesn't allow for enough play...most of it just results in a crapshoot and although I understand that quick tournaments mean quicker money for the site, I still think there should be more slower tourneys if possible...not necessarily 'deep-stacked' ones but at least say 10~12min levels even for the 'lower' limits...

Make an all-in tourney. All-in or nothing, all the way
start with 500 chips each, 10/20 blinds up every 3min.

Oh, and make it a Freeroll for 1k or something.

Could be a lot of fun happy
Fast and furious

What about a bounty tournament, where say money has been added to the prize pool for the player who busts the most people in that tourney, would result in some real agression not caused by huge bilnds. Also say its a 1 dollar entry, for every 1 dollar 0.25cents goes to the bounty prize again to the player who busts the most people!

Again on the bounty them....a scheduled event whereby 1 lucky player gets an unfair advantage in a tourney (this person is randomly selceted) and gets stay a 15k starting stack against every1 elses 1500. Again like before for every dollar of entries 0.25c goes to the Bounty prize pool. And who ever busts the guy who started with the 15,000 chips gets the bounty prize pool

pokerroom, when was the last time you ran a proper survey for your customers ?

logging onto another site recently i was offered the chance to click a link and complete a survey and i got a link from another site by email - encouragement can be offered to participate in surveys if you know what i mean

forums are forums and have their positives but closed surveys have their benefits too, mainly more open responses from participants

i'll not go through the many questions that could be covered here but if you pick the right questions and encourage people to participate you should get some more useful information that could help all of us - i for one would be happy to participate. if people don't want to give up 10-15 mins of their time to do this then i would say they aren't interested enough to see changes they'd like

one site i joined encourages people to complete their profiles with presentations and photos and believe it or not, offer a little cash credit each week to the new ones they liked best

i'm not saying pokerroom should pay cash and to keep it fair what about the many existing players - how would you include them - lucky dip maybe ?

but, it's an idea, along with reinstating the T-Shirt prize for getting a King-Flush in DOTD if your name is marmite and you got it today - this idea could be awarded retrospectively to me, obviously

but seriously, maybe little offers - if not for profiles, for contributions (positive) within pokah, or maybe articles submitted, and i've just remembered one site that paid little bonuses to all players sat in certain numbered hands - ie, it would announce hand number 55,550,000 would be the bonus hand and winner of that hand gets X and others in the hand get x - lot's of options here, even a lottery for pokah members each week where winners get tickets of varying value

etc
