This is always a relative question (i.e. relative to the person pondering it). For me the key is that life is finite. Anytime something is finite someone will always want more than they are given. When I was very young a year would drag by and someone who was 30 was ancient. Now that I'm 40, years seem to fly by and suddenly 30 seems like a kid to me. What will I think when I'm 80 or 90? Will it seem even shorter, or will I be tired and ready to move on. Will those last years see to take forever like they did when I was small?
Oyster, I don't think so. We all glamorize the extended life expectancy and living forever, but why? Modern medicine helps us live too long as it is, breathing well beyond how long we should have survived. Which also creates serious problems with overpopulation. Even today, if someone lives to be 120, they still retired when they were 65. That's 55 years the world has to support them... I hope for the world's sake that life expectancy stops rising
