I haven't read much of any of it yet. 32 people involved, only Russ Hamilton named lol. The majority of the accounts are said to have been used by him. Cheating as far back as at least 2003 lol. At least they seem to have given the full list of account names used now. And they say they have given all the info to law enforcement agencies, but that could mean much or nothing.
More on pokerati. It seems that the reason for the other 31 names being withheld is that there is not overwhelming evidence that they were involved.
Mark Seif gave an interview (possibly two) recently about AP/UB, but I didn't bother to link to it because it was devoid of anything new. It looks like the timing of this was to take the edge of the Kahnawake report.
Thanks for keeping us informed muss. From my understanding of how this all works. Any time there is cheating it is almost always from the inside. i.e. Helmuth as well when he was awarded pots playing heads-up earlier this year (or was it last year?) When it comes to money, keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
Haley Hintze, who used to work for PokerNews, seems to have obtained proof that Scott Tom owned the POTRIPPER account, the first account that was shown to have been cheating on Absolute Poker. Scott Tom was a founder of the company, and the money he invested is rumoured to have come from his father Phil Tom.
It was discovered early on by the people investigating the cheating that an observer account watching POTRIPPER, and almost certainly enabling the cheating, had an IP address that was linked to Scott Tom's house. The story Absolute have put around is that AJ Green (real name Allan Grimard) had been using Tom's house at the time, and he was thought to be possibly responsible. However, the revelation that Scott Tom actually owned the POTRIPPER account might cast some doubt on this story.
The links contain quite a lot of detail. Clicking on the images makes them bigger, but I found that the larger image was opening in the same window, so try to remember to use backpage rather than closing the window .
