A big Friday night for ayliny proves very profitable.

Apr 21, 2008 09:40 AM. Post 1
With no less than six $17, 500 WSOP Main Event packages up for grabs, a huge weekend WSOP finals kicked off on Friday night with 40 players fighting it out for their chance at Team Pokerroom.com glory.

drixxxe06 and Bazsa21 made the nights early running, both sitting on healthy stacks at the 30 min mark, but when the action got serious and it got down to the top ten Russchampio was out in front with 21,805 in chips.

The final table;

Russchampio - 21,805 in chips
Ayliny - 18,389 in chips
waner1 - 17,646 in chips
Bazsa21 -14,807 in chips
WhamBamTySir - 10,968 in chips
ironman27x - 10,720 in chips
Couney - 8,807 in chips
Cluuthers - 7,513 in chips
scoti82 - 5,336 in chips
Knattern72 - 4,009 in chips

However, as the final table played out Russchampio took a spectacular tumble to be one of the first sent to the rail and was followed in quick succession by a number of other players. Early chip leader basza21 then dropped out in 4th place and it was ayliny holding the chip lead from Knattern72 and waner1 who were both still sitting on respectable stacks.

The final three;

Ayliny - 59,979
Knattern72 - 33,932
waner1 - 26,089

Knattern71 then went on to take the chip lead from ayliny, pulling huge pot and moving to a whopping 84,500 in chips. However ayliny had the last laugh, not only winning back the chip lead shortly after, but busting Knattern72 out in third spot with a $500+$40 ticket and $293.30 for his troubles.

The final two then made it to the third break, with ayliny holding a nice cheap lead;

ayliny – 87316
waner1 – 32682

waner1 evened things up by taking the first hand after the break and then both players proceeded to take things very cautiously, both players not wanting to give away any ground. The advantage swinging from player to player as the blinds constantly changed hands.

Finally when the blinds cranked up to 1500/3000 after 100 hands of heads-up play the decisive showdown played out with ayliny holding a slight chip lead.

With board showing Ks 9c 8s 4d and 40,000 already in the pot, ayliny bet out 11000. waner1 then bumped it up to 30000 before ayliny raised it again, meaning a call would push waner1 all-in. waner1 shoved the remainder of his stack in the middle and showed Kh Qc, putting him on top pair.

However he was in trouble when ayliny showed 9s 4s giving him the sneaky two under pair.

With waner1 needing a K, 8, or Q for to stay alive, the river showed benign Ah and ayliny booked his seat at the 2008 WSOP Main Event in LAS VEGAS!

waner1 got a $500+$40 and $586.66 for his second place and with so many more chances coming up to reserve a place at WSOP Main Event I’m sure waner1 will back at the tables hoping to do one better!
