On the whole,I tend to agree with D53,marky,et al(oops happy ).

The vast majority of players seem to be english speaking by nature.Uk,Aussie,Canadian etc.

The main exceptions seem to be German and French players.Germans tend to speak some english to a standard that is understandable. As to the french, who cares? :P wink

A german language forum is viable I suppose (but, as milt has said, please please please make jazz post in English only. very_happy)but the translation of non-english speaking german players is pretty much covered already by the ever talented von Arez mod, alongside those german players who are competently bi-lingual.

Other nationalities on pr appear too numerically insignificant at this stage to justify many different, sparsely used ,forums in each national language.Kim,milt, fem, mort etc have the norwegian base covered, keisari has the finnish base covered.the only problem I can see is the swedes, and if ABBA could sell finely crafted, english language, pop tunes by the million, globally, and Ikea and Volvo are at the heart of english language global economies, then im sure with a little encouragement, the rest of the population of that fine country can be encouraged to brush up enough to post in english.

I feel that to encourage segregated forums would weaken the forum experience as a whole for all involved, and lead to the spread of non-english speaking at the tables as stated earlier in the thread.

We will all be speaking Mandarin in a hundred years time anyways happy

ps.I still feel the experiment to insist on klingon only in all social lounge posts was,and remains,a grave error, which should result in the termination of said lounge forthwith.Use the capacity to promote adult education instead.

Wow, we agreed...

The Social Lounge crew are more like the Ferengi

Then I realized the Ferengi would have cut and run as soon as they banned them from Real money games. There must be a Rule of Acquisition against hanging out in a lounge with no opportunities for profit wink

You are correct.

Then I realized the Ferengi would have cut and run as soon as they banned them from Real money games. There must be a Rule of Acquisition against hanging out in a lounge with no opportunities for profit wink

I should have said, they have all the characteristics of the Ferengi only without the economic sense.
