Ah....I like the bet man.Reeks of weakness.

It could go either way.The majority of times the check is the play obv(even more reason to bet?)to either induce a bet from bb or to let him catch cards, esp if hes holding a small pp or connecters in bb.

too big a bet would surely scare off even the most toughened donk holding A rag?so i think the amount is niiiice happy

I had a slightly similar hand in the racetrophy games that i led out quad 8s....wink very_happy

(just woke up and im rubbish at writing clear analysis compared to u guys) very_happy

plus the check would only induce a turn bet sometimes that youre obv going to flatcall/raise,both of which would be the end of the hand from the bbs perspective,so ud rarely get all his chips in? happy

If the flop minibet is flatted, I'd say consider the check.

Anything he will call a standard raise with, he will fire with...and a few more as well. Plus he will want to show you what a real raise is, and go top of his bet range or way over the top.

sry still busy mad but so many players see a minibet and have a pavlovian response happy yes its should be seldom used but is often underrated.

...and can make the turn and river play really interesting.

Just a shame the limited times it should be played.

Yeah croy i hadnt thought that through proper if flop was flatted a check would be the way to go on turn.

Yeah im still not a fan but it does have its purposes , i was watching a training video of danial negreanu's last night and he was playing a $5k heads up and he was minibetting a huge amount of pots preflop to use pot control and try and get his opponent tilting a bit.

but so many players see a minibet and have a pavlovian response

Actually, i dont know what youre talking about either now! Puggy...coin flips?!!

What I was referring to in my last post was your comment that you could hav had any pair preflop shorthanded with your raise. I was simply stating that this is not true! Even less so when a player like j-hop is in the hand!

Its true, i dont know the point to this thread, but alot of my own threads/posts are pretty harmless, or just conversational. But Im also no idiot. Whatever the reason for this post is, it is also closely linked to your 'public shame' polocy.

Even the tone you are taking with me is so serious, i'd think we were talking about a wpt main event or something! Im just havin a larf, as usual, and waiting in suspense for your next instalment/victim.
