		Hey Im just seriously getting into poker and I think I'm just starting to get to grips with the game but I still can't seem to get some decent wins. I'm playing at live tournaments as well as online but I feel like I'm still doing something wrong. This is a tournament I just played did I do the right thing or the wrong thing? Any help is appreciated. 		yeah, I'm a very tight player, but I would have shoved there. You did the right thing, just unlucky. Good luck in your future games

		The real question is how did u get so short stacked in the first place? I had a similar question previously where I was seriously card dead in a MTT and never got what i thought was a decent chance to push. Check out the thread in this section titled 'Card dead in a MTT' Jeff_Wood gave the following info which may apply to your situation Just use Harringtons theory for how to play in the red zone (simply if your M gets 5< just shove the first reasonable chance) and you ll do fine.

		Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated. I've tightened up my game a lot lately because Ive been getting a lot of bad beats. And thats why I seem to be ending up in the position of having barely any chips, what I see as bad beats are seriously denting my confidence in playing anything but premium hands. I had about 2300 in chips. Blinds were 150/300 and I was on the button. I have AJ suited in my hand. Most of the table fold pre flop until Player 10 who goes all in, he was a fairly loose aggressive player so I didn't give his bet much respect, I call, small blind also calls, everyone else folds. Board hits: 9d, Ac, Ah, 2d, 5c Small Blind has AQ off suit, Player 10 has Qd, 6d. ================================= So began my bad beat streak, I've had so many in the past few weeks I cant count them. I was actually beaten twice in one day by TT when I had AA. I would love to say it was the software but the same thing is happening at the Grosvenor casino. Anyone have any tips for getting through it? Best to just quit for a week and get a clean start?

		ps Harringtons theory makes a lot of sense, I 'll probably use that in my game now. Thanks for pointing it out.
