Multi-Accounting and more then 1 person to an Account

Oct 22, 2008 04:45 PM. Post 1
Because there has been alot of discussions lately about muliti accounting and mulit players using one account I thought it was relivent to bring this article to everyones attention

This artical was reprinted from the October issue of Bluff Magazine.

"TheVOid" Drops Legal action Against PS.

Britain's Natalie Teltscher, sister of EPT champion Mark Teltscher and the owner of the
screen name "TheVOid", recently dropped her lawsuit against PS
which stemmed from her disqualification from the WCOOP Main Event in September 2007 and
and the subsequent seizure of her $1.2 million in first place prize money. Teltscher
ultimately admitted that she had not played on her own account and instead, in clear violation
of the Stars' terms and conditions, turned it over to "an agent" - widely rumored to be her brother,
who had played in the same event on his own account. Said a PS spokesperson
"The decision of Ms Teltscher to withdraw her claim fully vindicates PS' decision to disqualify
her fron the tounament and subsequently defend the claim, actions which were taken in order to protect
the integrity of the games on offer at PS." Telscher also agreed to pay a portion of PS' legal bills from the matter.

This article is not intended to promote another site to play on but to dispel any rumors
that it is O.K. to multi account or to play on someone elses account.

It's commendable of them. They have a "Terms and Conditions" in place and they enforce it. I'm sure their support team don't give contradictory opinions on the subject either.

Kudos to PS. They are indeed the flagship of online poker imho.

The smaller MTT fields and teamplay retain me here, and I like PR.com, but it's not difficult to follow best practices within the industry.

ty for article link.

Actually, they kind of do. very_happy

I'm sure their support team don't give contradictory opinions on the subject either.

They have a policy that somebody can full in for you in unforeseen emergencies, which has led to some confusion, or to people trying to take advantage. They don't go far enough, in my opinion.

There was a thread on another site very recently where somebody was trying to justify a player getting somebody else to take his place in a tourney because he had to catch an aeroplane.

Another chap was saying it was okay for him to go to bed and let his flatmate finish a tourney so long as the flatmate had not played in the tournament on his own account. It was all very surreal. surprised

Surely the problem lies with the fact that he was playing with 2 accounts in 1 tournament. I know my opinion differs from everybody elses, but if he'd have entered using her account because he didn't have one of his own, i don't see a problem.

If your wife wants to play, tell her she can use my account spot. She can't be any worse than me at the moment.

That is correct spot.

To have a 2 account family is not really a problem .

Playing on both accounts is where the problem lies. Also having the 2 of you share the two accounts is also a no-no, but having a separate account for each of you is not a problem
