Tournaments not starting on time

Nov 7, 2008 04:09 PM. Post 1
anyone else noticed that more and more tournament are not starting at the time stated?

Ive seen quite a few in last couple of days that have been on <1minute for 2, 3 or even 4 minutes.

I think the ongame server needs some more diesel . . .

Ive noticed this long time ago.. and i thought it was because so many players wait to last minute to jump in. When PR make that last minute 4 minutes it means more rakewinkvery_happy

Clever...

Hi _spiderpig_,

I've been monitoring the tournament start times since I got back to work about 3 hours ago. From what I could see, the tourney's were all starting at their scheduled times.

If this is only happening sometimes, please provide us with tournament names, if you remember so that we can have a closer look into it.

If you can give me an example of a tournament that started after it was supposed to, I can ask the Tourney's team to double check.

Regards,
Julie wink

OH 5er, that started about 18 hours ago, there was 91 runners if i remember rightly. I entered with <1 to go and only 42 runners as it was then set to be a short tourney, however, it started several mins late and people were still reg'ing, then when i tried to unreg it didnt let me. Rebel even seen this too and said he would get back to me ..

That's the same with every tourney you play, irrespective of the number of runners mad

It's definitely true. This started happening a couple of years back, and it's because a tournament that's "just about to start" gets loads of last-minute registrants (= more money for PR). At the time, there were complaints - and it was adjusted so that "<1 min" MEANT "<1 min" once again. Has the 5-minute "last minute" surreptitiously returned? angry
