Mac Quits out pokerroom all the time (plus unrelated mac links)

Hello,

anyone else on mac having a problem with java?

Im running OS 10.5.5 on 7 machines and every machine quits out pokerroom every now and then (about every 10 minutes).

all have the latest updates and doesn't matter what browser i use??

any suggestions

Seems alot of folks have been having problems running PRs java app with the latest Mac OS.

I'm still running 10.4 so no problems here.

Im on latest MAC version, i can only run PR on Safari not FireFox and not in combination with MSN for some reason. I do get discod atleast once every 3 hours.

Try Navigator It works I got the latest Safari but every 10 -20 mins in crashes

just go to java, get the uninstall all java tool, restart, then download 10.4 (as noah recommends), restart, and you should be sweet. Pr will probably upgrade to the newer java when they upgrade the site. Could be days or monthes away.

Please check your OS version and then read the following, as it may apply:

It has been confirmed that an issue lies with the JAVA 2 Update (1.5) for Mac, in combination with Mac OSX 10.5 (Leopard). Any other OS setup should be ok in which to run the JAVA applet successfully. This issue has been reported to Apple. While testing we have only been able to reproduce this error when running the applet with sound enabled.

We are awaiting a response from Apple as to whether a new update will be released to fix this bug.

Until then one of the following workarounds is recommended:

1. Disable sound. IMPORTANT: The sound has to be disabled in the poker applet (preference tab).

Or

2. Run any combination other than: Java 1.5 update 2 and Mac OSX 10.5 (Leopard-specific).

Please get back to Support here with more details if these workarounds do not resolve your current issue.

Oh and.. Hmmm


Why exactly have you got 7 Macs with Poker on them and how do you know they all close down PR? Some late night gaming with a few buddies? or exploiting the works Pc's?
