So here's a hand i've just played and was wondering if the general opinion is that I made a bad call, or it was the right thing to do under the circumstances...
TEXAS_HOLDEM, NO_LIMIT, T4-85460198-40 played at "Ujung Padang" for USD TC from 2009-01-05 22:34 until 2009-01-05 22:35 Seat 1: isas ($5,100 in chips) Seat 2: KRIB 13D ($1,736 in chips) Seat 3: SlashNRoses2 ($1,200 in chips) Seat 4: KoJack511 ($845 in chips) Seat 5: propriolui ($4,465 in chips) Seat 6: hiytimesO1 ($4,770 in chips) Seat 8: Counting... you only had your blind in the pot, its still early in the tourney, you had the bottom str8 draw. His range for going all in is pretty wide, up to and including a str8 draw.
I'd of folded with that hand rather than doubling up a small stack.
oh and Beard, if the guy complained at all about your call, you should have told him that he was the author of his own misfortune. 66 in that position with that stack was an auto all in preflop.
lol, were you watching or something? He went nuts (I think, it was in German, but looked very angry) and I told him that if he'd have bet pre flop, I wouldn't have even been in the hand

Flop is kind of bad... calling oop with draws just sucks. imo Check raise 3x > Fold = Call.
By check raising you will take the pot down a lot, expecially on a fairly innocuous flop like Qxx two tone. Hands like TT/JJ/AK/AJ arent going to continue very often (depends on the player), and so take advantage of this by forcing them to fold.
Open shoving the turn is bad... Let him bluff by crai so you get max value for your flush.
All you accomplish by open shoving the turn is folding out a lot of hands that you already beat.
