End of an Era

Apr 14, 2009 02:24 AM. Post 1
PokerRoom first opened in 1999 as a small home grown Poker site one of the first to offer a no download client and allowing customers to play from anywhere. 10 years later and it has seen it's fair shares of ups and downs.

But the time has come, as of 11:00 CET today April the 14th 2009 PokerRoom and CasinoRoom will be disabled. That means you will no longer be able to play the games. Anyone who has not transferred to bwin will have the option to transfer when they log in.

It's with a sad heart that we say goodbye and close our Poker doors. The Pokah Community will remain open to the players and will soon be open again for new community sign ups.

kindest regards,
Suze

Our friend Suze happy

Im not certain if most of the peeps in here realise just how much work the PR team did for them behind the scenes, especially in the last 6 months.

Well, I would like to thank you and the rest of the team for your support to me.

I am not certain if you you will be staying on a Bwin in maybe a new role, but heres hoping.

Thanx again...

Best of luck to you Suze. Much as I hate Bwin I`m glad I learned how to play on Poker Room. It`s been a priveledge to have been here through so many eras.
My very last post

Shug, no need to leave the forum mate, even if you do play elsewhere, I hope you reconsider and decide to stay.

If not best of luck mate.

Terrific ....

I deposited on PR to play the GSOP event 1 the other day and left enough to enter the GSOP event3 PLOH8 which i registered for.

I awake today to this and cant log in to play from PR , so i go to switch and hope it will be sorted in time to play but i cant transfer in my own name as my son has an account on Bwin registered with the address already so i switch the account to his name to transfer the $ in my account at least which is done and has worked but im still registered on PR to play event 3 but cant log in to play it and cant unregister either.

pfft...
