SOUTH KOREA (6 June, 2009)
The South Koreans secured a seventh successive World Cup finals place thanks to a 2-0 victory over United Arab Emirates in Dubai.

Park Chu-young and Ki Sung-yueng grabbed the goals as Huh Jung-Moo's outfit strolled to a place in Africa's first World Cup.

Huh Jung-Moo: "I'm really happy that we made it. We are all satisfied with a performance that saw us ensure a place in South Africa. The players were excellent throughout the qualifiers, they did a great job."




Think the Saudis will be too good for Bahrain, and maybe also for NZ sad



I will never forget the last time they qualified 4 the finals(or maybe the time b4 that,ive forgot :P very_happy ) They were disgusting,apathetic,passionless and a disgrace to the game.

just lulling the football world into a false sense of security.

and lol at england winning, muss. i saw a satirical academic article in 2008 (i think printed in the 'fun' christmas edition of some medical journal) about how every time that wales win the six nations (or maybe just the triple crown, i forget) the pope dies in the same year, so he'd better watch himself after that years competition. pretty funny, actually.

kinda like the people last week saying 'the french beat the all blacks every 15 years, look: 1979...1994...?', based on a sample size of two. and where did that get them...yeah....wait, i mean...damn.
