Pitbull Poker Possibly a Dodgy Site

Jul 25, 2009 04:17 PM. Post 1
There are fears that PB Poker might be dodgy. The initial claims were of superusers, with some on the face of it ridiculous stories of calls by six-high when facing five-high hands (or some such thing). Initially there was some scepticism. It seems that there are no proper HHs on the site, only graphical ones. As a result, the claims were unaccompanied by any actual evidence.

A representative of PB made things worse with some unconvincing and unhelpful posts, and then the alleged business dealings of people possibly involved with the site began to surface. These include registering a wsop.com address ('world standard of poker' mad) and getting into legal difficulties with Harrah's because of it, and selling equipment to illegally access satellite television, then turning informant and shopping the customers.

adanthar on 2+2, Serge Ravitch, a US attorney who was important in the AP scandal and who appeared on the Sixty Minutes programme, doubts that the suspicious accounts are superusers. He has been sent info which points more to an organised bot ring.

No, it's looking pretty bad now, Pat. surprised happy

I hope nobody here has money on Pitbull Poker. If you have, please try to get it off. Nobody is totally sure what has been going on, but this all looks very shady indeed. Adanthar seems to think it likely that something is amiss, and he is pretty reliable in this sort of thing.

I've named the site rather than use an abbreviation: I think it's warranted in situations like this.

Lol Muss, as a matter of fact, I must have 20 or 30 dollars on Pitbull. I won some money in freerolls there when I started playing poker. Obv I couldn't cash it out lol, and there was literally no action so I couldn't use the money in other games either. When the sht hit the fan in the 2+2 forum I tried to log in just for the fun of it but it didn't work very_happy

Nice linkys Muss, and a great way to spend 2hrs on a Sunday night mad

Never heard of the Site tbh.The hhs that are described in the early part of the 1st thread didnt look anything unusual to me,but the repeated descriptions of similar concerns from various players, the joke response posts of Dave 'La-La'Brenes,the Costa rican poss ex-employer,and the involvement of adanthar(sp? too lazy to check :P ) along with the very shady business trails/directors is a big 'Achtung! Baby'. Also the posts from erm...holdemlady (?) (even lazier :P ) are interesting? happy

Yes, it looks bad. Considering it's a small site, there seem to be a lot of people expressing concern. It's a shame there's so little actual evidence to look at.

My favourite part so far is Adanthar doing his Troy McClure impression: 'Hi, I'm Adanthar. You might know me from such programmes as Sixty Minutes' [paraphrased very_happy]

Pitbull has always been extremely shady. I created a thread about it here about 2 years ago, after testing the site. I deposited some money to test the site, but couldn´t really find games of the stakes I wanted to play. When I managed to find a game the play was sometimes really weird and left me feeling uncomfortable. I desided to cashout and move on, but they didn´t let me do it, because I didn´t have enough points to cashout. After a few very frustrating conversations with their live-support I desided just to push all my chips in the middle and let them take my money. I was left with the feeling, that they were never interested in long term customer relationship, instead they were happy to take whatever I had deposited thus far.

Very dodgy site indeed mad
