yuk very_happy

He could have anything very_happy flopped str8,str8 draw.set.2pair ,88 fk knows very_happy

The fact he dosent seem to worry about you flatting the bets, and the k on the river dosent stop him is worrying.you can rule out the boat i think on the turn as he'dve checked it surely?

I think he's got 88 or a piece of the flop(non 3) with a draw, and the river bet is desperate.Im suprised you didnt raise at any point?

I'm calling the bet on the river, but thats why youre living it up across the globe and i'm playing gin rummy with my 10yr old for matchsticks very_happy

ps it's early :P very_happy

lol amh

Hows it going mate?

I didnt raise as i really didnt think he had much and wanted him to commit more to the pot and not scare him off although with the board pairing and an overcard hitting i was only beating a bluff on the river.

I wont give anything away on the result of the hand just yet incase anyone wants to post although the place is dead lately.

The rest of the tourney went well though , just blew the heads up 10 mins ago v complete maniac but $3,600 will do as a consolation.

I hate the way you played it (limping tens UTG! really?) but as played I would call him on the river. If he has a set or a flopped 2-pair, I think he slows down on the turn once he boats up or (trip 3s)to try to induce a bluff. Doubt he pots it on the flop with the straight either. I think he has the 7 and is betting heavy to get you off what he thinks are overcards and by the time the river comes the pot is so big he has to jam to look stronger and hopes youve missed the king or maybe he got lucky with K7 but Id take the chance he doesn't.

Heres what i think. wink
His 15k bet on the turn was his attempt at taking the pot there and then.As you just called he probably felt it worthwhile shoving on river. I reckon you must have called this.He may have small pair but might have nothing at all.

I agree tis tough one. He could take tiyr calls as weakness and therefore shove to bluff at it, or he could have flopped a pair which became 2 pair on the river K. (If he just had a K he might check to show down; and he prolly wouldnt bet 2 streets though Iknow you cant depend on that)

So you could be ahead or behind; Id go by the pot odds.

If your getting 2:1 or close call; if nearer 6:4 fold.

So I'd call. And I have think his more likely to have it than not.

Hate the limp pre, don't think there's any justification for it. wink

Close river, I probably call with dem dere decent pot odds but folding isn't a mistake, imo.

I am a little confused about the UTG limp here. Where you hoping for a raise?

I think the passive line on later streets is fine, that´s the best way of extracting value from a hand that you beat.

The problem here is, that when you take that line to the river you must be prepaired to call the river bet as well, if it dosn´t help the range of hands you put your opponent on. In this case K7 is within his range, which makes it hard to call. Straight is IMO the only other hand he might have that beats you.

He would have probably been all in with any hand, that he has been betting with so far, so the betting amount dosn´t help you figuring out what he has.

With my reasoning he could possibly have 2 hands that beat your TT33K, which makes it a call.

Here´s another example of large river bet. Would you call this one.
