didnt see the video but if k high using 5 cards is his high why need to show unused cards unless this about a omaha game ..it can only lead to revealing a higher hand he lied about claiming k high ?..is under claiming your hand illegal ?

I play alot live so please follow along.
1-When the German called it is up to Roland to show both cards in order for his hand to be considered live.
2-Roland did call his hand but refused to show it and as soon as it hits the muck it is dead.
3-The dealer should never have exposed Rolands hand after it was dead. (I guess he thought it was live for some reason)
4-After a person bets and gets called requardless of position they must expose their hand first. If there are no bets then the person acting first must show his hand first.

The German had every right to ask to see Rolands hand , but when he puts it in the muck the dealer must leave it there as it is dead.
Like I said before, the German knew Roland had a penchant for doing just that when he is bluffing, and that takes alot of immagination, no matter how GREASY a move it is. Always remember to protect your cards till the dealer declares a winner and never let them hit the muck, go over the dead line, or let another player touch them in any way.

A Pokernews article, which appears to mix up gamesmanship and sportsmanship, unless gamesmanship means different things on each side of the Atlantic.

The article quotes highly respected tournament director Matt Savage saying he would have made the mucked cards live again, and RDW would have won. Thomas Kremser has made a video (in German, sadly) explaining why his own decision was correct.

The 2+2 thread has 450 posts, some of them quite interesting. The German posts as Fetzenplayer (or something similar), and Matt Savage posts under his own name. RDW doesn't post (unless it's anonymously, and I doubt that).

Most posters in that thread agree with you, Leo. happy

Tabling a hand means showing both cards, even if only one plays. What's to say that RDW didn't have K-Joker, or Ks Ks and the deck was fouled?

If RDW tables both cards face up, his hand is live and it shouldn't be mucked. If he only shows one card and mucks, his hand is dead.

It's his own fault for mucking his hand and his opponent was perfectly within his rights to ask to see both cards before showing/mucking himself.
