CPU 100%

Hi guys,

I'm using a dell inspiron 1300 and now and again my cpu usage spikes at 100% even though i only have i table open.When this happens i have to exit the program and log in again.This just happened a couple of mins ago when i was heads up in a sng and when i got back i was dead.

Anyway, thats neither here nor there.My question is: Is their anyway of finding out why my cpu usage would hit 100% despite only having 1 site open and playing 1 table? I don't think it's a virus cos i have avg 8.5. I think it may be time to get a new laptop. Any suggestions on which one would be best? Any help would be greatly appreciated,

It used to be the case that disabling sound helped. That was the old software, though. If you have an option to disable sound, you might want to try this.

I can sometimes actually hear my cpu fan kicking in when I go to bwin, and dropping back down when I close the site. This isn't even playing poker, but just having the site open.

I'd also check your scheduled maintenance, I found AVG turned off my scheduled defrag thingy
