This dudes in some profit,,He raised
8BB and 10+BB 2 times with AK, pre, when he had plenty of chips. That's about all I know about him.

Not a fan of the miniraise from the BTN as your giving him odds to call wide and see a flop which he has done and because you gave him odds to call wide you basically cant put him on a hand here easily.

He could have almost anything from 2 overs with a gutshot to tptk to any pair with some kind of straight draw or a set or 2 pair about the only hands you can probably rule out are overpairs.

The standard open among a lot of top players has been getting lower and is almost at 2x but not quite but even then i would still personally make it 3x from the BTN or SB to let them know im interested in the hand and give them less odds to call as they are invested already also the miniraise here looks unbelievably stealy and your wide open to being 3bet.

As it is i guess its read dependent but as i said thats not easy in this spot and depending if you want to take a gamble to play for the win or not but with 30 bbs back and only invested for 2bbs and no idea what he has id probably air on the side of folding here but a call would be fine too i guess.

As im writing this im thinking the call doesnt seem awful i just hate putting 7.5x the pot in on a marginal spot.

But yeah id fold PF or 3x.

Im still wakening up i think i would call this too as played and take my chances FTW as there are a lot of hands in his range your beating and even if youve stumbled into 2 pair your not much of a dog.

sigh call, imo.

Don't hate a fold because you're probably not too far ahead of pot odds.

I'm not a fan of minraises at this stage of the tournament but I get pretty close to a minraise in the later stages.

I disagree with marky, tho. I'd make it 1k. 3x from the sb is fine but not necessary on the btn, imo.

Having position with QJ facing a pretty awful villain with a wide range doesn't sound too bad to me. I'd guess he rarely bluffs, overbets a wide value range and makes standard bets with the nuts.

Yeah sufur i was thinking more so from the SB about 3xing i guess like 2.2-2.5x if fine from the BTN especially as your getting to play a pot with an idiot and have position.
