And what are your thoughts on mazzi's play? I'm interested to know, mainly because his scope looks good. I thought his play was stupid tho,,Is this his way of stealing blinds?

I don't like villain's shove but I doubt it's a big mistake or anything. Might even be +cEV

With 6.5 bbs i call too , not too difficult a call with that stack.

Regarding his shove , as sufur said its not desperately horrible as he is going to get 15% added to his stack uncontested most of the time however i think its very marginal and if it is +ev then not by much.

He has like 6 people to get through.

If he opens to 2.5x and any of the short stacks shove hes pretty much forced to call as he will be getting 2/1 unless the BB shoves he would still have room to fold then but i guess he would be inviting a 3bet from the BB if he makes it 2.5x and some of the 9k/10k stacks may wrongly think they have fold equity on him so he has just elected to shove which is fine if he has decided to play the hand.

IMO he has too many people to get through though with the Q8 and it just doesnt look necessary to me.

P.S I can sympathise with you i was on a final table last night of a 360 runner MTT , 9 left BB is sitting out so i open from ep with A9o (marginal i know but with the BB sitting out and stack sizes at the table it looked a good spot) BTN 3 bets me and he is a good player with very nice stats but hes been playing kamikaze poker and i felt he was just playing back.

The 4bet AI seemed excessive with 35 bbs back so i flat and the flop is 29jr he shoves to put me AI 35 bbs into a 12 BB pot and im sure he has air and snap call , he flips the Q8o showing Q high and a gutshot and duely rivers the Q to bust me 9th of 9.

Happy to get it in v 7 outs for the chiplead though happy

I probably should have 4bet AI with the read though.

For a while I thought villain's play stank a bit, but now I don't mind it at all really.
