My first question is about playin' multi-table's. I DON'T do it but know and seen friends/people/pro's playin' many table's at once. My question is why do you or other do this? I'm a cash game player and when I sit down I like to focus ON my table/players. Can people do this while playin' 5+, 10+, 15+ tables? I mean when your playin' so many tables and have to decide to call, raise or fold every 5-10 secs, are you playin' cards or still playin' the players?
My second question is about the great "ICuRaRook" His one of those who plays many tables at once and has made tons of money at it but why does he play $3.00, $5.00 dollar tourney's? And he does this very often. He plays in $55.00 $100.00 buy-in's while playin' the little tourney's. I don't get it. I think it's great that he does this. It allows up and coming players or people who don't have big BR's to play with one of the best online. So is there a purpose to this or is he just a great guy?

I don't play many tables myself, and these are basically just random thoughts.
I think many players would be able to focus still at five tables, and there may be a few who can do it at many more. Most people who play masses of tables accept that they are going to be playing below their peak anyway, but are happy to do it because a smaller edge at many tables works out better than a bigger edge at one or two.
Also the side benefits of playing many tables - the player points and vpps and the like - mean that some players just keep adding more and more tables. From time to time you get posts on forums where people ask how many people are actually beating the game these days. They will quote figures showing that many of the top players at certain levels are only beating the game by tiny margins per 100 hands.
They use this to say that the game is becoming much harder. It may well be, but a large part of any decrease of win rates is down to people adding more and more tables until they reach the point where their win rates drop off. They are happy to do this because they are still making decent profit because the small edge gets multiplied out massively, and because they get lots of points to use on bonuses and the like.
I don't recognise the name ICuRaRook, sorry. Is he famous? It is actually possible that he is required by the site to do it, if he is a named pro. Many of the top pros on some sites turn up at the lower tables from time to time, for whatever reason. Or he might just be hoovering up all the games there are, irrespective of buy-in. On the other hand he might just be a great guy. Dunno, sorry.

Reason:
paragraph break and some other tidying up stuff.
If you're playing for living it only makes sense to maximize your hourly rate. This goes for cash games as well but the games are so much more complex (at least at the higher levels) that pros don't tend to play nearly as many games at once.
It's all about finding the right balance. Personally I can't handle more than 11-12 but I know there's quite a few top pros who can do 20+. I'd say most pros are in the 8-15 table range for MTTs.
As far as the high stakes MTT pros who play the $3r, etc. I assume it's just about not having enough bigger games available. If they register for every higher stakes game going and they feel they can handle more tables without their ROI suffering then why not add more.
