I agree with your article...Ive played in quite a few free rolls and have noted that playing in the majorty of the early hands, tends to pay off. I believe that just before the first break is about the best time to make your big move in chips though. Many people are playing tighter so they can make it to the break, so this is a great bluffing time (providing you have some sort of hand, this is fake money still and people may call with anything).
As the blinds increase in the second hour, I believe your hand selection should become tighter and wait for one of the top 16 hole hands to be delt. You will find some lose players here as well, usually people who limped into the second hour and they are waiting for premium hands as well.
As in most holdem tournaments, when the blinds reach a point where they exceed other players chip stacks, stay out of the way and let them take each other out, unless of course you have top ten hole cards.
Luck does play a huge part of the game here as well as having the guts to take people out and increase your chip stack.
