This is very true, some people on here are gamblers that happen to be playing poker. While other players are actually poker players. To each his own I guess. If you want to make money over the long haul you must study and play the proven strategies just like you said.

Thank you for the nice article, though "assess" has one more "s" in it. But as spelled your way, I suppose it has it's own meaning, especially if you leave out the word "to!"

you have a good point - this ain't Vegas. But all you're doing is training yourself to play extremely poorly.

An expert your not.
Realistic you are.
Each game has its own stategy.
There's money to be made by knowing how to fit into each game.

I think that you make an excellent point, but dzudzu is correct about training yourself to play poorly. It all depends on your reason for playing. If you are here to waste some time, play a little cards and try your luck - knock yourself out and play whatever two cards you are dealt. For those of us who have read, studied and tried to improve our game, we need to keep our eye on the long run.
