THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION SHOULD BE ASHAMED.

Sep 1, 2005 03:48 PM. Post 1
No federal help as of yet? Read this for a short synopsis of what is happening in Louisiana. An old man in a chaise lounge lay dead in a grassy median as hungry babies wailed around him. Around the corner, an elderly woman lay dead in her wheelchair, covered with a blanket, and another body lay beside her wrapped in a sheet. “I don’t treat my dog like that,” Daniel Edwards said as he pointed at the woman in the wheelchair. “I buried my dog.”

“You can do everything for other countries but you can’t do nothing for your own people," he said. "You can go overseas with the military but you can’t get them down here.”

The street outside the center, above the floodwaters, smelled of urine and feces, and was choked with dirty diapers, old bottles and garbage.

“We are out here like pure animals. We don’t have help,” said the Rev. Isaac Clark, 68. People there, some holding crying babies or elderly barely able to stand up, shouted for help as TV news crews passed by. Doctors at two desperately crippled hospitals with 360 patients called The Associated Press pleading for rescue, saying they were nearly out of food and power and had been forced to move patients to higher floors to escape looters.

“We have been trying to call the mayor’s office, we have been trying to call the governor’s office. ... We have tried to use any inside pressure we can. We are turning to you. Please help us,” said Dr. Norman McSwain, chief of trauma surgery at Charity Hospital. Other parts of the city saw similar desperation. “We need help,” Polly Boudreaux, clerk of the St. Bernard Parish Council, told WAFB-TV in a phone interview in which she broke down crying. “We're just been absolutely devastated,” she said, and many residents still need to be rescued.

Little outside aid has reached the parish, she added. “We are not seeing it.” Mob fears, gunshots
While most stranded residents were orderly, police warned reporters to be careful given the desperation. “We were told don't drink or eat in public as it could lead to a mob situation,” NBC's Michelle Hofland said. “We were told that by sundown to get out of here.” Federal rescue workers were pulled back from some areas of the city where gunfire was heard or reported, a Department of Homeland Security official told NBC News. “Hospitals are trying to evacuate,” said Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. Cheri Ben-Iesan, spokesman at the city emergency operations center. “At every one of them, there are reports that as the helicopters come in people are shooting at them. There are people just taking potshots at police and at helicopters, telling them, “You better come get my family.”.

Bush is a FUCHENG BASTEARD. I guess he is still too busy on vacation to mobilize emergency movement.

THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA'S DOWNFALL.

I have spent the whole day pretty much reading and looking at pictures of this event, and I just don't know really what to think of it all.

It seems the federal government and city officials are the most to blame, yet the amount of lawlessness and crime is ridiculous. It seems that even in disaster, people still feed on the suffering of others and it makes me sick to my stomach to hear of beatings and rapes, robberies and such. Is this what has come of this country? Federal officials making headlines "It's not our faul?" People dying on medians, babies crying, women getting raped? What the hell is wrong with everyone? I have nothing but the ulimate respect for those out there trying to help...Where is our leadership during this time?

Well our Prime Minister Martin called him offering any and all help we could. He was told we have 3 navy ships as well as amphibian craft, packed and ready to go...Bush said, we dont need the help yet...we will let you know !!
This afternoon our defense chief talked to your defense chief and said to send the help...so we are ready to roll...Bush couldnt organize and or handle **** on a pitchfork. Bet the ***** doesnt stand in the middle of NO with his blowhorn like 911.

Never have I seen mass confusion like this in my life. When the tsuami hit, look how fast aid came...and from Americans. Here they cant blame each other fast enough in the governmental levels.
Who gives a fook...someone better get their **** together.Shooting at hospital helicopters? wtf? Raping women? Looting everything in sight? How many days did they have warning? There was absoultely NO plan for the ones that didnt evacuate.NONE. Now they are saying it could be 60 billion dollars. WELL STOP THE FOOKING USELESS WAR FOR OIL FOR 10 DAYS and it will be paid for...I am sorry to rant on like this, but the images on TV are almost to much to take for a so called world power...more like a third world country. And people think it doesnt have racial bearings??? You can bet they wouldnt still be on rooftops and going hungry and thirsty after 5 days if there *** was lilly white.
