OK this was just insane and worth a story. I am in a "special"
freebag at Sweden (Poker Time). It is a "Survivor" freeroll.
$500 in the pool to be equally divided among the final 10% of players.
There's almost 2400 players ($2 and change each) but there are
special rules.
We all start with 3000. At the end of every round, they knock out the
10% short stacks (plus whoever else busted.) The rounds are very short,
like 5 or 6 minutes, and the whole thing is structured to go 9 rounds.
(It's all over in 1 hour)
I get into it with some Lithuanian douchebag, he has chips but eventually
he goes out and misses the cut with QQ.
Well early on I win a pot, and they have a little box which shows you
if you are safe, or in danger, or going to be knocked out.
So every round I am fine, but when the last round hits I am way short.
I am forced to double twice. I have a little over 2000 and I need almost
8000. I get KJs, in they go (I mean the clock is ticking I can't wait)
I get a call and I double. I go all in again but they all fold and I have 5000.
Well there's like 60 seconds left and I have to explain to these people
from Romania and other European countries who are betting with 25,000
chips, that the game is over for them. They have enough chips, they can't
improve their position, and everyone gets the same amount. Amazingly,
they get it. I am forced to go all in the last hand no matter what I have.
I go in blind. If everyone folds, I miss. But one other guy had 5000 so he called.
I had an ace, and popped an ace and went to 11,000 and made it.
And the game was over.

A guy goes into a restaurant and he is looking over the menu. The waiter comes over and asks if he is ready to order. "I'm not sure. The steak looks good, but so does the broiled lobster." The waiter says: "Do you mind if I make a couple of suggestions?"
"By all means please do." "That tie doesn't go with that jacket. And you need a haircut."

The game is in Euros and it fluctuates due to the exchange rate.
First I think was 12.03 Euro and 2nd was 7.95.
I made $11.60 American.
I have $160 there, but they won't allow me to transfer it to another player (who could then mail me a check)
I refuse to give them my primary banking info, and until I open up a laundry account, I can't get the funds out. Since they refuse to send me a check, a money order, a bank draft, cash. I am willing to pay for the check or money order or bank draft, and the postage, and the insurance.
I feel the site is run by the Russian Mafia, and they are a complete fraud.
When it was 7 Sultans Poker, it was bad, but at least they were honest and honorable when it comes to money.
Anyway, I started there with nothing, (They gave me $15 for free to start) and I have taken out almost $2000.
I will get this $160 out and blow it all on hookers and coke and sushi.

2nd in the Razz tonight at PT.
I come to the final table 3/8.
When there's 3 of us left, I am 2nd or 3rd all the way.
When we are heads up, I am able to get the game dead even at 1.1M each.
I get ground down and have to either get it even again or go out.
I have A467 on 4th street.
Of course I get 9 stiff , stiff
and he makes 96542.

The other day I get 12th in the Razz out of 2600.
It got to a point where I had to make a move for
the final table with A26. Of course I spike a 10,
and my opponent is representing 4 cards to an 8.
I can fold, and still have 40K (last) or try to get lucky.
Well you know the end of that story.
Tonight I was able to hang on and make the final table.
I was short but I kept moving up. There's 5 left and
I have 100K (2 of us are short at that figure).
I have 3 low cards against 229, and of course, out
I go fifth out of 2500+.

I lived in New York for a long time, and we never had cable,
because we had good reception on all the other channels.
Channel 2 (CBS) was often a little "ghosty" or double image.
One day I am talking to my mother on the phone (since then
she finally broke down and got cable) And she says: The
strangest thing just happened recently. I never got good reception
on Channel 2, and now, it is crystal clear.
So I explained to her. This was just after 9-11, CBS has their
transmitter on the Empire State Building, and the Twin Towers,
would block that signal a little to Brooklyn. Now that the towers
are gone, hence the great reception. "Oh, that makes sense I
never thought about that." (She's very, very smart, so it was a
little funny.)
We each worked in Tower # 2 22nd floor in the early 1980's.

Post # 2 (and you thought you were going to get away with 1 post.)
Stuff I forgot to mention.
At one point, I am short, and we have been playing at a 5 player table for a while and the blinds are just zooming around. I have QQ and they all fold to me. Well you can't make up any ground that way.
It gets down to 33 and I am not going to make it. So I go all in with A8 or A9 from the button, the BB calls, and it holds up. I didn't want to play for so long and go out 31st, so I had to try. It was a horrible few seconds.

There's another Special in 7-8 days, same password.
I don't even know where to begin. I will try to be brief,
but it was incredible agony for hours and hours.
1835 players need top 30. 2000 starting stacks,
15 minute rounds, 6 player tables, zero antes at any level, and
time bank is back for these games. I start off OK but
there are 2 maniacs at my table and I try to do the
best I can. I am hanging around all game at 3000
when I am able to double just before the break,
I am still way short. I work that up to 11,500 and I am there
for 2 hours. 3 or 4 times I get ground down and I come
back to that point. But again I am way way short.
I get it up to a max of 15,000 and I know if I can double
I can stall to make the cut. It never happens. A few times
I went all in AKs,KK, AKs and they all fold. And I won a few
hands. I also folded a few hands that would have won big.
(A2s, 44 and one other) I am at 12,000 and I have JQ.
Q88 flops. The other guy is checking and I am betting
and he flips over 78 os and I have 5000 and I am last,
or 2nd to last the entire rest of the game, and there
are eons still to play. I think there's 83 left.
I double off the same guy when I river the nut and I
have 9-10,000. I am able to scratch and claw my way to
12,000 but I am short all the way. 70 left, 60 left, 50 left
40 left. Theres like 36 left and the stack to my left allows
me to steal a blind or 2, but it is still no guarantee.
We are down to 33. We are down to 31. I still don't have
it made when finally after 4 hours I make the cut. I mean
they are telling me to play (stalling and folding) but I had
35,47,57,28 for an hour. I am UTG and both blinds will
put me in, so I go all in with ATos and win. The next hand
I have AJ in the BB and that holds up. The next cut is at
26 and I am just able to squeak that. I then get moved
and forced all in and out at # 24. But it was brutal.

13th in the Razz.
Early on I have 18,000 and I am #11 or so.
I take a dinner break, but when I come back
I still have most of my chips and I am able
to win some hands to go to 20,000. Hit a cold
patch and I am at 12,000 all game, not sure I
can make it from there but I squeak it. Right
after the cut (48) I have A37 win that and make the
next 2 cuts (40 and 32) so I am all in with 236,
and I go to 35,000 and make the 24 cut. I am
down to 15,000 in they go, and I go to 80,000
make the 16 cut, the next cut is 12, but I am
still one of the shorts. It gets down to 13 players.
I have 3 low cards against the bring in. He calls,
everything I have pairs and trips up and out. Ugh. I guess I make the cut if I fold, and then the next level is the final table. Whatever.

The last 2 Razz games there, you would not believe the non random thievery.
I have this theory about "player bias", which can be positive or negative, inserted into a players "code" and changed or tweaked.
You have to think that all of the top pros realize that the online game is complete BS.
Hope you are doing well.
I don't like to kill animals, but my GF spotted a mouse in the garage. Usually they go right for the peanut butter in the trap and are dead. This one is elusive. I have to kill it, before some pregnant rodent infests my garage with a litter of vermin.

I got dry humped in that game when my AK lost to QTs and I went out 99th instead of getting 30,000 chips and a shot.
At least the douche pipe who made the horrendous call for half his stack went out 82nd.
Tonight I made 18th out of 3200 in the RAZZ. You need top 48 so it's difficult.

15 minute rounds, no antes (NL HE)
it says starting stack 2000, but it's 1500.
Short handed tables (6 players) need top 30,
time bank is back for these games, and the break hit at 45 minutes.

Oh crap I am sorry.
There are some special freerolls, after you log in, you click on SPECIAL.
They had one for $2000 which I just missed.
But there are 2 more for $1000. It only pays the top 30 spots, but the entries are light and the payout is good at the top.
It requires a password: back
there's one that starts in 10 mins, but there is another one in like 6 days or something and the reg is open on that, so register for that, then you have to remember to play it. LOL
