Presentation	This is my poker story. I got introduced to holdem poker in november 2004 by one of my employees. I didnt know much about holdem before that. So he sold me the dream of playing poker for a living which imediately didnt appeal to me and still doesnt. However I had other ideas, try to earn some extra cash from poker. I researched the game holdem on the internet and decided to give it a try. I had heard about pokerroom.com so I came to this site made an account and started playing for play money. Instanly I found it challenging and fun to compete. However, after roughly 3 weeks the play money which was easily refilled didnt appeal to me anymore. I mean you can go all-in first hand lose and then refill immediately and continue playing...not fun. Therefore, in december of 2004 I made my first deposit (here at pokerroom)for $15.00. I wanted to see what it would be like to play for real money. I played two $5+0.50 multi tournies which I lost convincely. For the next few months I kept making $15.00 deposits every time I wanted to play holdem poker. Lost every tourny I played. After about depositing and losing about $200 in these tournaments I though maybe I wasnt good enough for holdem poker or that maybe online poker was rigged. So I made my last $15.00 deposit and said to myself this is the last deposit I make if i lose again maybe poker is not for me. At this point I navigated through the site and discovered that there is other kinds of tournies. With my last deposit I played $5+0.50 sng and won 3rd place. I was so happy I won money for once that I played another $5.50 sng and finished 2nd. Then I thought to myself these sng are easier then the multis I would normally play. Anyhow, I increased my bankroll to a roughly $100. I studied the game a little more by buying some books and continued to play $5+0.5 sngs. Then, as I gained experience and confidence I returned to $5 multies. I won a couple of multies increased my bankroll even more and then increased my buy-in. Now it seems that sky is the limit as to where poker can bring you. With a little more practice, studying and luck maybe one day I can play in a major poker tournament with my girlfriend of 5 years cheering me on.
