| Presentation | I live in Motown USA which is a great place to be - despite the bad rep. We've got a couple of small poker rooms in two of the casinos here in Detroit but I don't really care to play there... One (Greektown) is too smoky for me - maybe I should invest in a gas mask! The other one (Motor City, non-smoking) the people just don't seem like they're having fun. If you try to lighten things up with a little conversation they treat you like you're from another planet (maybe because they can't smoke). Oh well! So I like playing here at PR.com and in occassional home games with my home boys and girls  I think NLHE tournament-style is the most fun. I'm pretty much an SnG kinda guy because the multis give me fits and take too long to play. I always seem to finish just out of the money after three hours at the keyboard. But sometimes I play 'em anyway just to take a shot at a big payday and to see if my play is improving. I'm starting to get into 5-Card Draw which is a lot of fun in a classic kind of way. And the players are pretty cool. You should also know I'm more minnow than whale, I like to take risks to spice things up, and I make stupid/crazy/silly plays that occassionally hit - which I know can be a little frustrating to those of you who like your poker more like science than art. BTW: A word about decency... I don't understand why people feel the need to be rude, insulting, or whiney. Good grief people, it's a game! If you're not having fun, pick a different game!! But my greatest pet-peeve is bigotry. Keep your racist, ethnocentric, homophobic, sexist, ageist crap to yourself. No one wants to hear it - especially me. Give me a guestbook post and I'll return the favor. If we end up at the same table I'm happy to chat it up witcha! Have fun, trust luck, and play to win!! |
