About me

Presentation Been playing 5 & 7-card for a while. Started playing during lunch in high school. By the time we were juniors, we could get some pretty big games going. At least once a week we would take all three lunch periods (they ran back to back) and make a game in an unused room. I never looked back.

Didn't take me long to discover Hold Em. I still prefer 7-card, but Hold Em is a very exciting game.

Prefer limit over no-limit. I feel there is more skill involved when you are forced to play the cards rather than the person and his/her chip stack. Tough to be successful at this online though. Most people play limit the same way they do no-limit, not realizing you can't bully people around with your chips. Unfortunately they get just as lucky as they do in no-limit, and win more often then they lose because they stay in hands they shouldn't, and catch cards that never should have come up. LOL! That's why I mainly stick to live casinos, and I try to stay away from limit cash games all together. I find I get the most solid action in tourneys, particularly when it comes to limit Hold Em.

I haven't been playing here very long, and thus far my opinion of internet gambling in general (certainly not limited to this site) has not changed. I knew going in what the risks would be, and I was correct. I've done OK, but more often than not I get killed by people who stay in hands much too long no matter how well I play that hand. It's a very common story here, and it stays the same no matter what site one plays on. I added my 2-cents in on the subject of a Pokah forum thread called "The Conspiracy Theory" (page six of that thread, under "Online Gaming). LOL! Sounds nutty, but most people were fairly rational in their responses, and I tried to do the same. Just a few thoughts, that's all.

Bottom line though, I will be playing with real, hard earned money less often on the internet. Just about splitting even, and at times fall a bit below the Mendoza Line. Not worth the risk.
