I don’t know Ba-bay or Realty very well, and I only know Flirty to the extent that one CAN know another on the net. And I’m not a depositing player, so I don’t monitor the other forums that I can’t post in. But I DO know that Flirty helped me, and talked to me, when virtually no one else here would. And I’ve seen her do the same with other newbies. And I know that neither her, or either of the other two, have said anything in SL worthy of banning. I was an Agatha Christie fan when I was a kid, so I learned early the value of applying the principle of Occam’s Razor to any mystery. And I haven’t seen anything in the years since to change my mind on that score. Simply stated…..The most obvious solution is usually the RIGHT one. The problem here is that we know none of the facts, all we have are undocumented allegations. So I can’t say for sure what motives are in play here. But there are a couple of scenarios that fit -- and as I say, they’re based on assumption, so maybe some of you know enough facts to discard them. The simplest is that some mod has been looking at PMs, and saw something they didn’t like. I don’t even know whether they have the ability to do this. The other -- well I’ll just pose a couple of rhetorical questions: Which mod has clearly stated that in his opinion, SL isn’t worth his precious time and effort to monitor and police, because it’s mainly composed of non-depositing U.S. Citizens? I believe his words were “Why bother?” And which player has been taken to task by FG lately, and by at least one of the other two in the recent past? And which mod and which player are supposedly doing the nasty -- maybe even as we speak? These musings may be totally without merit, but if that’s true, the blame lies with PR -- when they don’t give reasons for their actions -- even to the folks they ban -- well all anyone can do is guess. And if my guesses result in my ending up playing drums in the band -- well, so be it. |
