All the tears I have cried are a lie. I feel nothing. I treasure you none. I have clipped your wings and watched you raise crippled, bloody stumps in an attempt to fly. But you are deaf and dumb. Tonight I used an oxygen tank to breathe because you were drowning me. I can't stand in the same room as you. Not without drowning. Bitter battle. Painful enemy. You carry your knife in my guts. You stash your bombs in my brain. I have betrayed myself in you. My soul is mine enemy! TEAR ME INSIDE OUT. I wish I could cut you from my bosom and pick away the nasty thoughts that crawl within you like worms on old meat. Tonight I sleep with an oxygen mask and a bottle of meds to stop the dreams. Heart, you sit and stay by my bedside, watching over me with an ax. I am not safe from myself anymore. The dead in me has risen from the grave, and those without eyes have learned to see in the dark.
