Presentation	As i played 5 card draw with an old mate of mine, <br>I saw quite a perk, even a glint in his eye, <br>As he took the last card and nodded his head, <br>My legs turned to water, and my stomach to lead. <br> <br>Looking over my cards i could see his grin, <br>The twitch of his fingers, his glass full of gin. <br>His hands were shaking, and his eyes were so bright, <br>The cards and the pot were fantastic tonight. <br> <br>I took my 2 cards and what did i see, but <br>A royal flush staring back at me. <br>I tried so hard not to show on my face, <br>The feeling of triumph as my heart, it raced. <br> <br>He bet more and more, and my soul was destroyed, <br>For It was no longer a feeling of joy. <br>His face was changing, his body shook, <br>He knew that tonight i read him like a book. <br> <br>At this very point i got up and told <br>"this cannot go on, look what i hold" <br>He showed his 4 nines and i almost wept, <br>He would have bet everything, sinking in debt. <br> <br>I took what was left in the pot and left, <br>Went back home to get some rest. <br>I then made a vow to myself and my friend, <br>I would never play poker for money again...
