| Presentation | I am a devout Christian first and foremost. I really believe that if someone is a Christian it should be evident in all aspects of their life. At the same time, one of my biggest concerns is that non-believers see Christians sinning and quickly are turned off by Christianity because of hypocrisy. The important thing to remember is that Christians are only human and make big mistakes just like anyone else. The only difference is that they have chosen to accept God's amazing grace and to be forgiven for the times that they slip up. God's grace is so awesome in that it is free to everyone no matter where they are in life or what mistakes they've made in the past. God forgives anyone who comes to Him and admits their faults. And anyone who wishes to follow the Lord simply needs to surrender their life to Him and ask Him to lead them. I believe that when God called on us to spread His word in the Great Commission (Mt 28:18-20), He meant in all surroundings, not just within the Church but also (and probably more importantly) on the streets and in every day life, even at the poker table. I do not believe that gambling is a sin because I have not found any strong Biblical evidence against it, but it could go against good morals just like anything else in life. So I think it's extremely important to be careful with how much time you spend playing poker, for instance, and to make sure that it does not take away from other parts of your life, especially those that are important to you. No, I don't have the 'fro anymore... that picture is from during a tree planting season in the summer of '05.
