WPT Five Diamond Classic: Up Close and Personal With Mr Bumbi

Dec 5, 2007 Mr Bumbi is our lone Swedish representative on the Team PokerRoom.com roster for the Five Diamond Classic, with the Canadians (billybillard and trevorcanuck) and Germans (M.Macho and Huempel) each fielding two players.

While this may be his first major live tournament, he’s no stranger to Las Vegas, as he visited Sin City last August on holiday. He claims he didn’t get to play any poker on that trip, so hopefully he’ll more than make up for that this time, with a deep run in the tournament.

Here’s more from Mr Bumbi himself, discussing poker, life, and other assorted topics:

"I’ve been playing online poker for about a year, and mostly play fixed limit at low stakes ($3/6 and below). I also play some MTTs and Sit’nGos, too, and won my spot on the team for the Five Diamond Classic through a freeroll. I have a full-time job and play poker only for fun, so I don’t really play for the money – although making extra money from your hobby isn’t so bad at all. My favorite poker pros would probably be Daniel Negreanu and Scotty Nguyen, and Phil Ivey and Gus Hansen would be the pros that I’d least like to see sitting at my starting table. As far as life outside of poker, I really like snowboarding and am planning to take a trip to Lake Tahoe while I’m in the US. What would I buy if I were lucky enough to win the tournament? Probably a new car, along with other things."

Lastly, we would like to wish Mr Bumbi good luck at the Five Diamonds. We’ll pray for you that Phil Ivey and Gus Hansen stay away from your table. And please make sure you don't break any legs in Lake Tahoe!
