How about a MTT (say $10 or $20) where the winner gets all their tournament fees and/or rake of any pots won in ring games for the following week refunded by PR.

I think it would be pretty good to know you can play for 7 days without having to worry about the rake. A great incentive to play more thats for sure.

I guess PR could put a limit on the amount to be refunded in any one week to limit the damage to them. (say $1 for each entrant for that week) Or maybe refund 50% of the rake instead of the whole amount....

Re leaderboards: I don't think this needs to be tied to any tourney buy-in in particular. The propellerheads who do the programming can easily devise algorithms to evaluate factors like buy-in, number of participants, and final position. Obviously finishing first in a well-subscribed high-value tourney is worth more points than doing well in a quiet and cheap one.

I suggested this quite a long time ago but don't think I got any sort of official response as to whether it was feasible or not.

Buying into loyalty program tournies means you have to open the website (clicking the $ sign on the download client still brings up an unavailable page). Log in, find the ticket vendor, buy the ticket, confirm the purchase and only then can you go to the actual tournament and enter.

Now, I know this would involve a change to the client and that where most people said don't risk it. (You were messing updates up quite regularly wink )

Why then cant you click the enter tournament button and,as you do with a cash buyin, use poker points right there and then. Buy the ticket through the client.

This would also work for an earlier suggestion, if that were implemented, to have poker point tournaments.

With regards to the leaderboard idea,I think it is great for a number of reasons. I never had chance to play in the Aces tournies as buy ins at the time were to rich for me, so another version of this would be great. I think its also a good way for emerging players to test their skills against the more experienced players, and also one of the only ways to get to know ur opponents on the net. Finally I would say that one of the most important aspects of being a poker player is consistancy and with this kind of structure in place, consistant players would reep the benefits. Id love to see this type of structure!

I think it does

Re leaderboards: I don't think this needs to be tied to any tourney buy-in in particular.

On other sites they have leaderboard with hundreds of tournaments counting, this may well be a decent idea, but it wasn't what I meant.

The problem with these leaderboards is that they favour those who play 24/7 - the winning player could actually be a losing player overall! If only 10-15 tournies a month counted towards the leaderboard, anyone who wanted to try to win it could feasibly do it without having to live and breathe Pokerroom for a month.

Some other good suggestions on here as well - I don't understand why you have to purchase tickets through the web site either.

touching on eojrepus's point some lenghtier turbos would be great , say the odd 5 min turbo tourney , quick tourney but not too quick that it turns into a donk festival.

How about a tourney called "DonkFest", it will be a weekly Lucky Dollar, lets say Saturday or Sunday so more enter with an Added Prizepool, wouldn't have to be much. The name alone, will atract a few.

And yes i'm serious about calling it by that name in Scheduled tournies. very_happy

Why the insistance with extending turbo lenghts. Turbos are a different game and have their fans. Me included.

No need to lengthen them, they are turbos.

I think Puggy touches on the most important point about not having to play 24/7 to be on a leaderboard. Scheduled events counting towards a leaderboard is key.

If you mean my post i am not suggesting to increase all turbos or change anything , just think it would be fun to have some semi turbos at 5 min blind increments.
