Hi guys,

Just an update, as it currently stands this will be the only place you can use your $220+$15 ChampionChip Final ticket. These tourneys are currently set to run until the 13th of July 2008.

I have however taken your comments and suggestions extremely seriously as they seem well thought through and valid. I have made some of my own suggestions regarding this tournament tickets as well. This is all I can tell you at this stage however we will definitely notify you about any changes with this tournament, if any occur.

I would suggest that if your current ChampionChip Final tournament ticket does expire before the date of the actual ChampionChip Final, definitely take this opportunity to use them.

The last chance to use these tickets was last night Remi, 24 hours after you gave people notice that their tickets would now be useless!

I can understand how yourself, and other mods,are at the thin edge of the wedge.

This is another example of the failiure of interdepartmental communication within pr.

Surely it cannot be difficult for whoever implements and/or designs these changes,to brief all other departments of pr,yrselvs,lobby support,live support,etc (and thus,the players),on the changes beforehand and furnish you all with relevent information such as 'whats going to happen to people with more than 1 tkt' 'what r we going to do about the 40+4 qualifying tkt holders' etc etc.

Its obvious that this can only be a case of rushed implementation of a decision higher up the pr chain.

This is a worry as it shows no consideration of the consequences of the action and how it would affect players,or even worse,an attitude of 'thats how it is,tough'.

How can pr either:

A)think that its reasonable to change a major promotion,with 24hrs notice,invalidating tickets ranging from 220+15 down to the lower qualifiers,regardless of the impact of those people who have participated in the promo in all good faith.

b)Similar to the US/UK invasion of Iraq,Not realise the implications in the first place!!!(the most likely)

C)think that it is fair,good customer treatment,to offer a solution, belatedly ,of a 220+15 buy in to a sng qualifier,for a tkt worth the new cc buyin of 350 +,with 6minute blinds,that ends in a weeks time (even though any knowledge of the 40+4 sng qfs would show that these have taken over a week to fill at the best of times).

I think pr is hoping that players will not see or think how absurd this is.Sadly,the majority of players consistently accept such shoddy options,and will see no option than to play the said sng qfs and pr life will go on in the main unaffected knowing that the said majority will meekly accept such treatment.I like to think that it not deliberate on prs part,just general thoughtlessness?

The solution to the overall problem lies in the realm of management structure and communication,of which I have no idea.

The solution to this particular problem is,as prev stated by many, upgrade any tkts still held by players to the 220+15cc to a tkt of the (unique and thus otherwise useless)new cc buyin (people won these 220 tkts in qualifiers believing they would win a seat in the cc,not any other tourney).
Likewise,upgrade the 40+4 tkts to the corresponding level of new qualifiers.

Ultimately,some thought about introducing tournamant/tkt dollars is the way to go(maybe even after consultation with players who use the site frequently,have a knowledge and care about promos/tourneys/the site as a whole)

Not only are these solutions logical,but are a step in showing that pr cares about its players/customers enough to be fair and morally correct in such instances when the thoughtlessness could be misread as being of a more sinister and careless nature.

All good points, amh11, but what you have to remember is that PokerRoom these days is just an inconsequential skin site. I believe the Champion Chip is run over the whole of the Ongame network, so I suspect the changes were imposed by Bwin/Ongame.

Its a fair point if true moose but just highlights the point about the management structure being at fault.Maybe it shows a leaning towards a couldnt care less attitude rather than a careless attitude happy
