| Præsentation | A man was walking through the dimly lit streets late one night. The only noise was cats knocking over dustbins and crying into the night. Then, he heard a loud thumping. He turned but didn't see anything. He kept on his way. The noise got louder. Again he stopped and turned. In the distance he could make out a large rectangular box coming around the corner. The man increased his pace, not wanting anything to do with this strange event. Thump ... Thump... Thump - the box was increasing its pace with the man. It was close enough now that he could see it was a coffin. The man started walking very quickly. Thump.. Thump..Thump, the coffin got faster too. He now broke into a run. Thumpity.Thump.Thumpity.Thump. The coffin was closing the distance between them. The man finally arrived home and ran through his front door, locked it, and rushed into his living room - sitting down to catch his breath. CRASH! The coffin had broken through the front door. The man could see that the coffin's lid had broken and was attached only by a hinge. The man ran for the stairs and took them in 2s. Thump ... Bump ... Creak ... Thump ... Bump ... Creak - the coffin followed closely behind. The man raced into his bathroom and slammed the door shut behind him. CRASH - the coffin barged straight through. Wild-eyed, the man looked around him desperately for something to stop the coffin. Reaching into the bathroom cabinet he found his can of deodorant and threw it. The coffin did not stop. He found a bottle of shower jel and threw it at the advancing coffin - it did not stop. He reached into the back of the cabinet and found a bottle of Dimotap - his cough medicine - and threw it .... The coffin stopped. Try not to take things too literally in life or you may miss their meaning. |
