Greetings, and thanks for dropping by. I am the grey alien - Graylien for short - and I'm very pleased to meet you.

Ever since I saw John Duthie take down one million pounds on TV back in 2000, I've been interested in the game of poker. I first registered to play online myself during the Christmas break in 2005 - online being the only real place I could go for any action, in my northern Scotland location. I've been on and off sporadically ever since. My most recent return was on the summer solstice 2008, and I hope I'm here to stay this time.

I will probably never feature at the WSOP. I may never even become a winning player. But what I will do is try to play the game to the best of my ability at all times, try to learn from my mistakes when I can, and most importantly have some FUN while doing it. My job entails dealing with an increasingly demanding and ungrateful general public in a one-horse town on the edge of Europe, and it can take it's toll on body and mind, and since I neither enjoy pub crawls or injecting heroin, I need a more unusual outlet for recreation. Poker gives me that buzz, and I enjoy playing the game. I prefer the tournament format, and currently play in the $5 or less games. Maybe, I'll be able to advance my game to a higher level one day.

When I'm not here, I enjoy cinema (mainly the horror/slasher genre) and music (rock and eurodance mainly). I also enjoy taking advantage of my EU citizenship and taking little trips away when I can. I've had a lot of fun around Europe, from riding a Heineken-shaped bucking bronco in Amsterdam to touring the European Parliament in Brussels to drinking moss-flavoured beer in Berlin, and I hope to have many more such experiences.
