how about in your leaderboard tournie Puggy the top 2 at end of the month get agrand ticket and increase the rake on buy in. I think that would be a great idea for all us real money players!

I very much like the leaderboard suggestion.

Even with a lower buy in, say like the Centurion Cups.

Ok, how about this:

$50+5 MTT.
2500 starting stack
15 minute blinds

3 times a week. Say Tuesday 7pm, Thursday 7pm, Sunday 3pm.

That's 12 or 13 tournies a month. Top 10 scores count towards the leaderboard.

If on average 200 players played in each tourny, that would be an extra $2400 generated in the $1 extra rake, which would pay for 2 tickets to the Grand for the top 2. With the Grand now being a monthly event, that's ideal.

2nd to 10th could get a Stage 3 or 4 Grand Qualifier ticket.

A form of leaderboard sounds good to me too.

Fold -

A $10 version could run simultaneously, say with $0.5 added to the rake, with prizes at the end of the month being tickets to the Grand Prix or the Big Deal.

Could name them Gold and Silver Cups, or perhaps this would lead to confusing regarding the Gold Room etc.

I disagree with a lower buyin, I think $50 is perfect. Which would create some good competition with the serious players on the site and allow people who have lower buyins to qualify and still participate.

I like the ideas.

LEADERBOARD for something a definite must.

50$ sounds great. The lower buy in was just an additional suggestion.

Also, while we are asking for 2500 chips and 15 min blinds, can we also introduce Deepstack tourneys ( SNG's and MTT's ). Whatever buyin works for Pokerroom on that. But we need more regular tourneys with more chips.

Regarding turbos:

I've often said the levels are far too fast at 3 minutes, but then I haven't played a turbo in a while so it may not be the same. Actually, thats not true, played a few KOTH $3.40's but can't remember how long the levels were.

By the time the blinds are hitting 100/200 or 150/300 its almost an all in move for someone every hand. At three minute levels this is situation is achieved in 15 to 18 minutes.
With some hands lasting a whole blind level you can see how frustrating turbo tournaments can be. I dread to think what MTT turbos are like, I'm only talking about STT's.

Five minute levels seem to work well on other sites, it certainly gives you more time to at least get a playable hand before you're on the back foot.

Failing an increase in level times, perhaps a 2000 stack instead of 1500. The games shouldn't last too much longer and would give the player more scope to actually play poker and not 'luck of the draw'.

Charity tournaments:

There is usually a massive charity drive going on in one country or another at some point in time. For instance in the UK at the minute they're having Red Nose Day. A charity which aids people in Africa living in poverty, it runs once every two years (I was gonna say bi-annually but to be honest I don't know if that means twice a year or once every two years)

Red nose day

It may be too late to do anything for red nose day but other massive charity drives go on from time to time.

Now how I can imagine this working in a tournament is perhaps a small increase in tournament fee, say $5+1 or $10+2 and the rake is donated to the charity. I guess that maybe wouldn't raise much so you could perhaps just match the entry fee and donate that yourself. 50 people at $5+.50 you donate $275, and give players the option of donating any winnings too.

Given time I might be able to come up with a better format or something but thats the general gist of it.

Charity tournaments with proceeds donated to the charity.
