As puggy says the formula in its current form favours volume over quality so there are some changes I would make to the formula.

1. I would replace F with X/E where X is the prizepool and E is the number of entrants.
This would give more value to the rebuys as it would produce an average buy in for the tournament.

2. I would also have an extra multiplication of (I-P)+1 where I is the number of positions paid and P Finishing position.
If (I-P) is negative then it becomes zero.
i.e you dont get any points for finishing outside of the money.

Also this would reward the larger tournaments more.

i.e. more points are awarded to a player that wins a tournament that pays 20 players than one which pays 10 players.

So the formula would look like this:

L + (√F*√2.5)*( √E*√3)*(√((I-P)+1) / ((P+1)*2) * 100

I have changed the constant on the bottom row from 1.5 to 2 so that the extra multiplication will not cause the points to be ridiculous high.

I think this would be a more accurate measure of the best performing players on the site.

Ok, since start of teamplay i have written down where i place;

10, 3, 6, 11, 1, 1, 2, 1, 4, 1, 3, 2, 2, 2, 3, 1, 2, 2, 1, 2, 3, 3, 1, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2.

U asked for comments on leaderboard GR, and i dont see how i can be ranked 60 on the yearly, with players i havent even heard of in front of me. (my results arent necessary in 100% chronological order.)

PS, some teams couldnt play for ages cause of the teamwallet problem, does the leaderboard consider this?

You know, I never understood the "Footballer of the Year" competition either. It‘s a damn team sport! A templayer leaderboard is a pretty useless gadget in my opinion.

I agree Pat.. it should be about the team, not singleplayers.

However, that board was so funny i had to comment it.

Since some teams weren‘t able to play for quite some time, a team leaderboard is a pretty useless gadget too.

Leaderboards will always favour quantity over quality unless the formula used is a zero sum formula accross all entrants. Even awarded 0 if you fail to reach the pay structure doesnt penalise you.

Easiest formula is total $ won/lost LOL
