Horrid spot on final table , anyone playing this different?

May 13, 2008 06:15 PM. Post 1
This is the $15k GTD on PS 2626 entrants down to last 7 , first person betting is a maniac and had just doubled me from $250k after calling my push with their 77 my ak came through but couldnt put them on a hand here and the guy in middle hadnt reraised at any stage so hard to put him on AA KK.

I thought for most of my time before pushing but just couldnt put them on KK AA so pushed but guy flat calling had the bullets sad

Anyone play this any different or had my time just came to an end?

Still $665 but money was about to jump hugely :/

Firstly well played marky happy nice result

TBH I can't see any real way to get away from that hand.

exoticspice pretty much ruins the hand for you imo as he ensures that you get no real info. I think a reraise pf may have been warranted to gain more info / shrink field but any decent raise would leave you pot committed. I think AA wins whichever way it plays.

Ty croy and ty for the rail too croy/arru/fiona

Yeah exoticspice i was sure i was ahead of she was playing very loose , i was going to push her preflop if there hadnt been a caller in the middle but with the other caller i thought id see if the flop was QQ friendly first and leave myself an easy way out if it was a Axx flop , the flop was so good for QQ though and AA flat call killed me , if he pushes there i would have folded and let them fight i was very close to folding as it was but after much thought i really thought i had them beat so pushed :/

This hand would have ended the same way no matter how you would have played it...UL sad

The preflop raise was 90000 and you had 500.000 left. If you reraise preflop you are pretty much commeted to showdown unless you get reraised all in. Even then it would be pretty hard to lay those b.itches down.

I think you played the hand well...just unlucky to step in a mine of aces there.

Yeah thanks keis , i think doing anything else here with the initial raiser being so loose would be being way too tight :/

Yep. The initial raiser is the key thing in this hand. The aces flatcall was obviously ment to trap him, but you became the collateral victim in the situation.

UL, but well done anyway. Quite a field to beat to get there very_happy

Awesome result marky, congrats happy

Really tough spot there. As said, and you actually know it, you just can't get away from there.

The best thing to do on this situations is to suck out happy but unfortunately that didn't happen for you angry

Anyway, keep up your great play, is just a matter of time for you to hit it big (or even bigger) wink
