| Presentation | "Presentation"...hmmm...is this like grade six, What I Did On My Summer Vacation, three pages single spaced and don't forget to print your name in the top right corner... K, I play holdem for play money, I do alright if not excellent, quietly patriotic Canadian: "How do you get a bunch of Canadians out of a pool?" You say "Excuse me, could everyone please get out of the pool?" I have a fairly twisted sense of humour and work in a professional office doing more comic relief for my colleagues than anything else, I think. I have terrific kids, wonderful friends and a houseful of animals that eat me out of house and home. Besides poker, I love to read, and cook, and I used to love to garden before stupid global warming made it impossible to leave the house after 8 AM in the summer. Plus thirty. In CANADA. Huh. I hear Greenland's nice... I believe the use of silly string to be an excellent parenting tool, as is a well timed screaming leap out of a closet when your kid is coming around a corner (okay, whatever, it's not a parenting tool, it's just for my own entertainment, but MAN can they SCREAM!) I'm an avid recycler and a rabid environmentalist. How to embarrass your children -Pull your sweatpants up under your arms and announce that you're walking them to school that way. -Refer to them as "peanut" or "pumpkin" in front of their friends. I don't know why it is, but food items seem to carry a bigger embarrassment bang for the usage. Trust me I've tried others. -Sing show tunes loudly in shopping malls when they're with you and want money from you. Let their greed argue with their sense of dignity. See which wins. |
