| Presentation | -Come from a family of great professional players. In the 40's (long before eye-in-the-sky)my darlin' Uncle Bill worked for the casinos as a consultant teaching them how to spot cheats. Since I have always loved the smell of a good cigar and the salty humor of men who think the little girl won't understand the jokes, it was only natural that I was the only one of my generation they taught to play.
My advice to the unitiated: Next time you are in a casino and a well-bred lady takes a seat next to you, don't assume she's just learnng the game or will fold if you make a rude comment. There are lot's of us who have been hiding in the home circuit waiting for casino play for women to become more socially acceptable. With the Travel Channel, I'll bet you see a lot more of us in the next 2 years. |
