About me

Presentation Although I have not had the opportunity to do much painting in my lifetime, nor have I had the pleasure of watching paint dry very often, I have observed paint, both in the wet form and in the dry form.

The coolest thing about paint is that there are so many shades available that you can choose from. Paints tend to take on a personality all of their own, don’t you agree?

Immediately when you enter a room you can see the different personalities of paints, and it's really quite interesting if you think about it.

Real Paint Colors
Real colors come in many shades. Some are bold, some are subtle, and some are a bit weathered, but all of the real colors are significant in the color groups, as they each have something equally important to contribute to the world of color – even if the contribution is small.

Bold Paint Colors
Bold colors are extremely cool. You could use the bolder colors on an accent wall to give the room you are painting a more dramatic touch. Bold colors are adventurous and enjoy taking risks. To sum it up, the bold colors are entertaining.

Subtle Paint Colors
The subtle colors are more mysterious. They can be clever or cunning, but you don’t notice them as much right away. At times the subtle colors seem to vanish in the shadow of the bolder colors, but then you look and wow… there they are.

Weathered Paint Colors
Weathered colors are a personal favorite of mine in the color group. They are perfectly seasoned due to their experience and exposure. Their architecture is near flawless and they are wise and stand proud and strong through any situation. They have seen all the other colors come and go, and it is the weathered colors that have been treasured for many years and never painted over.

Fake Paint Colors
Occasionally you may see a color that just turns your stomach. You can tell right away that the color is a fake because it tries, almost in desperation, to bring attention to itself. Fake colors try to appear bright, but the pigment is dull to the extreme. If you look hard enough you can see straight through the fake colors and you will find an empty shell underneath that is void of any color. The fake paint colors do not mix well with real colors.

In my experience I have seen real paint colors removed from the marketplace, when only the fake colors should have been taken off the market.

That's just my take on paint. happy

Yikez, I forgot one!

Ugly Azz Paint
Ugly Azz paint is of a very strange color… one that can only be defined as ugly (hence the name). You don’t realize it is Ugly Azz paint immediately because you can’t really bring yourself to imagine that any paint could be so ugly. You look at it for a bit and try to give it a chance, thinking to yourself, “How would this paint look on a wall?” You convince yourself that it must only be you that thinks this paint is so ugly, because you have seen others look at this paint and they don’t seem that offended by it. So, you decide to give the Ugly Azz paint a chance.

Suddenly you realize this paint is very “tacky” and reeks of a repugnant odor. It has mutated itself into an even more disgusting color… one that is so hideous it’s like something you have never seen before.

The Ugly Azz Paint doesn’t have a chance of becoming seasoned and being able to mix in well with the real colors, so it resorts to doing anything it can to try and diminish them. When the Ugly Azz paint realizes that it pales in comparison to the real paint it becomes indignant to the point that its true color (ugly) shows through immediately. The phrase “New York second” comes to mind here.

The Ugly Azz paint reaches out and tries to grab a bit of the real paint. It sprouts grotesque tentacles that slither across the wall, dripping a slimy green gooey substance, searching for its next victim. You come to the ultimate conclusion that you were right all along! It’s exactly what you saw in the beginning – Ugly Azz paint.

Disclaimer: I didn't buy any Ugly Azz paint and never will.
