7500 reasons why you need a blog

Apr 20, 2008 Been living under a rock for the last 5 years or so? Then hopefully you’ve heard of a blog and even read some of our wonderful one’s highlighting Team PokerRoom.com mad adventures over the last few years.

But you don’t just have to read a blog; you could actually start one yourself. It can be about anything you want, a commentary, the latest news in your area, a D.I.Y. section, hey some poker players even like to post their own personal poker diaries online.

A blog usual breaks down to a combination of text, images, and even videos as well as links to other blogs and websites. In fact many bloggers believe that the more you send people away the more they come back.

A key aspect many professional bloggers believe makes the difference between a webpage and a blog is the interaction between the writer and the reader, hence the comments section you may have seen on your favorite blog. A feature that is actually quite fundamental to our very own P o k a h section.

Some of the best blogging tools out there include blogger, wordpress and vox. Their basic packages are all free and although one may have more features than the other you’d do fine with any of them at least to get you started.
