What kind of poker can I play with the mobile poker client?
Mobile Poker offers access to all Texas Hold'em limits (Limit, Pot-Limit and No-Limit) at various levels. All you have to do is decide on the game that suits you.
I don't see No-Limit tables when I play. Why not?
It's probably because you're playing on an older version. You can install both versions on your phone but we would recommend that you remove the older version since it will save memory space.
Is it the same rake rules as when playing with a PC / Mac?
Yes. For more information, see the poker rules page.
What happens if I receive a phone call during game play?
On most handsets this will be treated as if you lose your connection -
but on some the game will continue in the background until you are done talking.
See "What happens if I lose network coverage?" as well.
Are there extra costs for using the mobile client?
Your wireless operator might charge you for data transfer between your handset and the poker servers. The client uses roughly 350-900 Kb per hour of game play. Your operator might also charge you for the download. Please contact your operator for more information since you have a great chance to influence the cost of playing by optimizing your phone subscription.
What happens if I lose network coverage?
• If a player loses connection, he/she will have an extra 30 seconds to reconnect on top of the regular time allotment for acting.
• If a player times out during a hand, whether connected or disconnected, his or her hand will be checked/folded.
• If a player is not re-connected before a hand commences, he or she will be sat out. If you reconnect within a short amount of time you will be able to sit in again, if not you will be removed from the table and lose your seat.
The display on my handset keeps going dark while I'm playing. Why?
Since keeping the screen lit consumes more batteries than otherwise,
most handset vendors make the display dim when the user hasn't interacted pressed any keys for a while.
If you are annoyed by this option, please check your handset manual for instructions of how to turn it off.
Are my account details just as safe as when playing through the web?
Absolutely. Your safety and security is a priority to PokerRoom.com, and this goes for the phone client too. We have all the same security procedures in place as you're used to from your PC or Mac, plus we now use a username / password login rather than PIN code as previously used.
How can I make sure no one but me plays the mobile poker game?
When you run the mobile poker application it will ask you to enter your password and nickname. Please keep these details safe - do not let anyone else use these logins, and if you must store them somewhere, do not store them in your phone.
