attilaattila's run has ended here at Niagara Falls, with him finishing in 28th place for $30,621. His luck finally ran out when his AQ couldn't outrace his opponent's pocket nines, as his stack was dwindling again and he couldn't wait for a better spot to get his chips in.
He missed the next money jump by one spot, which hurts a bit but it's hard to view his run here as anything other than a huge success, as he started the day short-stacked but managed to play his way to a huge payday. And, for that matter, a huge success for the Team as a whole. While we had a small squad of just four players we managed to get three of them through to Day 2, with attilaattila more than holding his own with the world's best poker players to cash for more than $30,000.
And with that, it's celebration time.
attilaattila made it through the fourth level of Day 3, and is sitting on about 200,000 chips heading into the last level of the day. He's well below average stack of 425,000 but that's been the case all day and it hasn't seemed to faze him one bit. Just when we think his run may be over when his stack starts to dwindle, boom, he manages to chip right back up.
He had a nice double up the last level when he flopped a set with pocket fives and an opponent with pocket queens doubled him up. He said he also picked up the blinds here and there to add some much-needed chips to his stack.
There are 32 players left in the field, so five more eliminations will get us to the next money jump of $43,375 for 27th, and also will be when play wraps up for tonight. Blinds will be 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000 ante when action resumes after the break.

We're down to 36 players here at Niagara Falls, which means that attilaattila is now guaranteed to win at least $30,621! He's short-stacked at the moment with 75,000 chips, so he's going to need some help if he can make a run at the net pay jump, which is 27th place for $43,745.
He said he tightened up considerably at the end there to make the next pay jump, as he had the short stack at the table and was waiting for him to bust first, with attilaattila folding pocket jacks at one point, as well as KQ and other hands that he'd normally have shoved with.
And that's that, with the money bubble quickly bursting and attilaattila is now officially in the money, and guaranteed to win at least $17,498!
His next target is 36th place, which is the next money jump at which point players make $30,621.
Well done attilaattila, and let's see if we can keep the party going even longer with more jumps up the paytable!

He's not there yet, but attilaattila is so close to the money he can smell it here at the WPT Canada event. 47 players are left in the field, with the top 45 making the money, so we're just two bustouts away form yet another Team member cashing big in a WPT or WSOP event!
He's got 160,000 chips so he's still well below average (which is currently 290,000 chips) but he's likely got enough chips to cruise into the money, if he chose to. Whether he'll take the safe route or play his normal aggressive game, who knows, as he's not been content so far this tournament to sit on his chips and play it safe.
Blinds will be 4,000/8,000 with a 1,000 ante when players return. Average stack is currently about 290,000 chips.

attilaattila is still in the hunt here, sitting on about 150,000 chips after two levels of play. He was as high as 200,000 at one point (including taking down a nice pot off Kathy Liebert), but slipped back some towards the end of the level.
We're getting to crunch time here, as just 62 players remain, so we're 17 eliminations away from being in the money.
Blinds will be 3,000/6,000 with a 500 ante when the payers return, so the price of poker is going up, with each orbit eating about 14,000 chips from players stacks. The average stack is currently about 220,000, so attilaattila is in a bit of a awkward spot, as he's not desperately short but he also can't just sit and wait for the money bubble to burst.
Send any extra good thoughts and mojo his way, as we'll likely get very close to the money bubble here in the next level (or possibly early in the level after that), and attilaattila still has some work to do here.
attilaattila is sitting on 120,000 chips after the first level of Day 3, getting the double-up he needed in early action when his pocket tens held up against his opponent's pocket nines. He'd shoved twice before that and picked up the blinds, shoving once with nines and once with AJ.
He said he'd also folded a few small pocket pairs, facing a raise in front of him, looking for a better spot to get his chips in. He's a bit below average stack of 170,000 but isn't forced to make a move when he returns and can wait for a good spot to commit any chips.
Blinds are 2,000/4,000 with a 500 ante when players return. 81 players are still remaining in the field.
Great news here early on Day 3, as attillaattila is making a big move in early action, chipping all the way up to 170,000 chips! He's now above average stack of 150,000 and sitting in much better shape than where he began the day. We'll hopefully have detailed hands when we catch up with him at the first break of the day.
There are currently 89 players left in the field, with the money spots starting at 45th. The tentative plan is to play down to 27 players today, but that could change depending on the pace of eliminations.
We're very close to the start of action here on Day 3, with attilaattila ready to take his 54,000 chips into battle and hopefully make some noise early on here at Niagara Falls. While we're down to just 99 players remaining, there's still quite a way to go until we hit the money at 45th place, and attilaattila starts the day as one of the shorter stacks.
Blinds will be 1,500/3,000 with 400 antes when play starts, and they'll finish out the remaining eighty minutes from the level they started late last night.

The payout details were finally released late last night here at the WPT Canada, and here are the numbers, with all figures in Canadian dollars:
Place - Prize
1 - $1,250,352
2 - $612,427
3 - $319,337
4 - $262,469
5 - $196,851
6 - $153,107
7 - $109,362
8 - $87,490
9 - $69,992
10-18 - $56,868
19-27 - $43,745
28-36 - $30,621
37-45 - $17,498
attillaattila has a ton of work to do here on Day 3 before he can start counting any money, but he was still confident and upbeat last night when the Team grabbed a late dinner after play wrapped up for the day.
He jokingly said that he gave much of his stack away just to make it more challenging today on Day 3, when he'll try to play his way into the last 45 players standing and a big payday here at the WPT North American Poker Championships.
